IS Science Absolute Truth
by seekchristonly inif we have faith in science and scientific claims about the universe, origins of life etc.
is that absolute truth.
if so then if they declare that god exists with evidence then do all those who believe in science then believe in god or a creator.

I'm not knocking science. Something is good until it is not...
James, science is a process of discovery. I am not sure you are talking about the process, or the results of various experiments and inquiries.
If you can come up with a better research method and design, let me and the world know.
If you want to question the results - that is acceptable - and encouraged. Just be prepared to justify your questions with an alternative hypothesis.
Debating scientific discovery is fun and actually moves research forward.

Books that changed your life-
by new hope and happiness ini am not much of a reader as i have two many distractions, but i fancy a challenging read, so please list any book that has changed your entire world view on everything.
i remember as a teenager buying at a yard sale, norman vincent peales " the power of positive thinking" and at the time that had a big impact on me.
but i am a little bit more in to " realistic positive thinking" now..

Gem, I hope my comments did not give the impression that I am discounting your struggles. It sounds like you have gone through hell. If it is meant to be that you should speak to these folks, I can assure you that it will happen. But I hope you don't go back just to complete a relationship that was not meant to be.
Just this week I connected with a person that I have wondered about. Keep your facebook available for those who might be interested in how you are doing.
Good luck

Your final WTF? Moment!
by restrangled init was a long time coming for me.....when i read about the extened generations, after being raised on1914 being the be all end all, and millions would never die....that was the end.
i was part of the 1975 fiasco, the 6 month only truth book studies, suffered through a disifellowshipping and their version of a rewind.
i finally am free and hope others can eventually look in instead of inside looking out!

I have had a few, but my last was my last meeting where the CO stated: "we don't think we have the truth - we KNOW we have the truth."
That was it - I was out of there like a bat out of hell.

I am aware of a few situations where a df individual floated back into the organization and were welcomed with opened arms.
The key is to cover your trail. But the question is WHY?

I believe in myself. Other than that you can all go to hell! I mean that in the nicest way.
That being said, the whole concept of a belief system (i.e. the watchtower) is something that I have no interest in.
