Parents became Jw's, and then dropped out. Us kids were forced into it by birth. But over time and the Watchtower 's ridiculous Policies we decided this does not work for us.

Becoming a JW
by Mum ini rarely post here, but i often check in.
i used to post on h2o as well.
i think i once posted some of this on h2o, but there are many new ones who have joined since then.. i first encountered jw's at the age of 9. it wasn't in the door-to-door work, however.

we've taken a decision similar to revelation 18:4 to get out of the watchtower and not share in its sins.. how many of you still believe that god will one day terminate the world's many systems by means of an armageddon?.

This what happens to me if I sit through a Jw meeting, my inner voice starts says "Bullshit!" You can only take so much BS that it effects you're mind. No meetings, No Jw stuff for me! IT'S BULLSHIT!

Leaving JW - My own experience
by joao inas some of you may know, i disassociated myself from wt$ last april.
and i did it in the noisiest way i could find: i wrote my disassociation letter and made sure to send it to all elders of the two congregations in my town and to all jws whose email address i possessed.
i knew this would bring loads of issues because my wife was in as well as our younger daughter.

Longhairgal- This something that a pimo relative of mine is experiencing. They need to have their ducks in a roll and things in place before they are fully out. It is a learning curve when things are not together and the trooth is been all their lifes. You don't have many choices in the trooth. When you're out of it or want out if you don't know what you're doing you're in the cold.

More money and meeting with 3 elders
by Foolednomore inso, we had this meeting with 3 elders ( larry, moe and curly) my uncle who is the lawyer sat in the room and stayed quiet, and fact for 40 minutes we let them talk.
we would just sit there.
they went into along winded monolog about how the world is in bad shape and getting worst.

My uncle was an " interested party" who walked into the meeting. With them not knowing he is a lawyer until the end. The perfect ambush.

My family and I just slowly stopped every thing Jw. Then, one day, some notice we are not at the hall anymore and start to call. But we screen our calls.

What is funny is uncle never studied or was a Jw. He gave them questions what he put together by his research. They where more then tongue tied. When they opened their mouth with something my uncle would bring across examination that would stop them in their tracks. They looked like fools.
