So, We had this meeting with 3 elders ( Larry, Moe and Curly) My uncle who is the lawyer sat in the room and stayed quiet, and fact for 40 minutes we let them talk. We would just sit there. They went into along winded monolog about how the world is in bad shape and getting worst. And ever endless about the Org. How wonderful it is. My uncle started to ask them about Russell's "miracle wheat". From there he asked about all the dates that Watchtower said the end would come. Then my uncle asked about the child abuse in the Org and the many law suits. Watchtower part of the UN for 10 years. I just stayed quiet. Then, he asked them why are they coming around asking elderly widows for money. Which I popup and said " Sounds Shady to Me!" These three idiots had a hard time explaining everything to us. My uncle advised them as being legal counsel for the family for them to stay away from our mother and family members or face legal action.

Her living Will ( Thank the stars!) Excludes the Watchtower and anything Jw. Infact we have been inactive for over ten years. These elders have no ideal that a lawyer will be present at this meeting. I have full power over my mom's estate. How I know of this is from my housekeeper and sister. That they would love to have their hands on mom's cash/assets. The lawyer is a family relative and not a Jw. They are walking into a real grilling.

Longhairgal- I'm short to locking my ill mother in her room, but I can't do that. Some how they call her on the phone and invite themselves over. I need to have someone watch her 24/7. I'm glad I manage her money. I'm sure she would be handing the keys to castle to these clowns.

Longhairgal- Yes We are still on their radar. My family where very supportive of the trooth at first. But once we saw how we we were being used and abused, the buck stopped. They seem to be working on my elderly mother to get the rest of the family inline but it fails everytime. Police have been called, but since no real crime has been done despite their showing up for their unwanted calls to my home and businesses.

In our area the elders who know our family is inactive will come around and the first thing out of their mouths is to return to Geehovah. The second is, your life is doing good you need to give that to Geehovah. They and their dimwitted Organization discouraged education and preferred you to work hard labor while they benefited from your donations. Does not sit well with me. When your in need ask the Org for help, they'll laugh you out the door. They only benefit themselves.

the religion is so far and so different to the religion i grew up in that it has become something i feel no affiliation with anymore, no bond, no shared ideas or even sentimental views.
