A completed exaggerated made up ideals by 8 old guys in New York. And slap the Bible in there and make up that too.

"The Truth"
by Ding inwe all know that jws consider the wt religion to be "the truth" and refer to it as such.. granted, that phrase is used repeatedly in the literature and from the platform.. but it's obvious that much of what the organization used to require jws to teach house-to-house as important truths--even within our own lifetimes--has been abandoned.
it's been replaced by "new light" and "refined understanding.
what's meant by "the 1914 generation" is a prime example.. in fact, i think it would be hard to find another religion that has changed so many of its teachings, especially in such a short period of time.. so why do jws still believe their religion to be "the truth"?.

What happened to me was I was at a Con-vention and the speaker came out with total new light. It didn't make any sense at all. Everyone was clapping like a bunch of seals at this. I was confused. I could not take any more nonsense. The next day I didn't show up.

Suspected Washington Kingdom Halls arsonist arrested
by Corney inas many probably remember, in 2018-2020, multiple kingdom and assembly halls were set on fire in the state of washington, so fbi, atf, local sheriff and arson alarm foundation offered $61,000 in rewards for information leading to arrest of the arsonist.
the attacks (seven arsons and one shooting) included:.
march 19, 2018: two arson attacks - one at a tumwater kingdom hall and the second at a kingdom hall on cain road in olympia.

Longhairgal- I called some out one time walking in the street. They saw me and did a turn around and started to walk in the opposite direction for which they where going. Mind you I and my family have never been DF'D. But in their wasted minds we committed a crime since we grew a brain and don't want to be part of their group anymore. I scream out that they act like children on a school yard. If you look at Jesus did he treat people who disagreed with him this way? Speaks volumes of the Ridiculousness of the group.

Disfellowshipped & Returning
by tartan4588 ini am disfellowshipped and have been going back for well over a year now but because its not my 1st time it will be a bit longer before i will write my letter, would really love to find others in my area who are in the same situation as some many know its very isolating, not mixing with worldly people and not being allowed to be with family and friends can take its toll on a person, just wondering if there is anyone in perth wa that would like to get together for a coffee, movie ect .

Welcome to this form. The more you look into the Jw's you will find many things. Question everything. You will find that elders are nothing more then " enforcers" and managers. You will live free, true authentic self, without that the elders.

Our Family just one day stopped all Jw stuff all together. No notice, no phone call. Some shun us and others try to start conversations with us. But we are too busy with our businesses. If it's not work related there is no attention to it. I have 3 Jw's working for me and they know I'm all business. No Jw stuff.

No funeral
by road to nowhere ini have run across another jw death where the final wishes are for no service.
3rd or 4th instance.
another wanted a celebration of life which the elders squelched as far as i know.

I have talked to Mom about what she wants and she has made it clear , No Jw service. Some can come. But they don't run the program sort to speak. Seeing what Dad's was like, she was not impressed. -

More money and meeting with 3 elders
by Foolednomore inso, we had this meeting with 3 elders ( larry, moe and curly) my uncle who is the lawyer sat in the room and stayed quiet, and fact for 40 minutes we let them talk.
we would just sit there.
they went into along winded monolog about how the world is in bad shape and getting worst.

They where on the edge of the chair as my uncle cross examined them with questions. For once they where in the hot seat. Watching them in their uncomfortable state as my uncle took over, was very comical and eye opening about them.
