Exactly. Drop the jehovah and you're left with "imperfect" men, snakes, donkeys, whales, trees and demons. Oh and let's not forget the hooker. Jehovah used a hooker too. I hoped he tipped her generously.

"Jehovah uses imperfect men"
by MrFreeze injw's like to throw it in our face when we talk about the wrong things that the wt and the gb has taught.
they cite examples of david and moses.
"david and moses were imperfect men who made big mistakes but jehovah still used them.".

If you are remotely interested, I reread the Gospel of John!
by TimothyT in.
the following scriptures all taken from john point to the fact that jesus christ is the only saviour of the people on this earth.
there is no mention of organisation or any other form of salvation within this book.

Some had weird laws about the sisters' footwear and hosiery. Looking back, it does kinda make you wonder.

Why are Jehovahs Witnesses persecuted and spoken against?
by mankkeli inthis is taken from the reasoning book, page 201. .
jesus said: if the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you.
if you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own.

It is not persecution when JWs incite civil unrest by picketing church services and antagonize other individuals to the point of instigating public altercations, and get arrested for their role in being $h!t disturbers.
There's nothing godly about orchestrating events that result in one's being arrested, beaten up, or otherwise create a negative impact on the community by stirring up trouble. They reaped what they sowed, IMO.
It's kinda like slashing the tires on a truck with a Confederate flag at the Wal-Mart whilst shouting "f*** rednecks" or walking through a bad part of town yelling the "n" word at the top of your lungs. You're probably gonna a get a rise out of someone and there will probably be some physical pain involved. Rugtherford knew exactly what he was doing when he picked fights with the Knights of Columbus and otherwise atagonized other religions and their subsidiaries.
In more modern times, it's obvious that interrupting people in their homes is going to piss them off. It's also obvious that it's not an effective way of transmitting their message or any message for that matter. But since it's irritating, it's good for perpetuating the "we're so despised and we love it" mindset.

I told the baptist church pastor that I'm gay!
by TimothyT inhis reaction wasnt as liberal as i hoped it would be.
he said that we needed to discuss it.
however, gone are the days where im putting myself in the firing line and not sticking up for myself.

Sounds like you're on the right path, Timothy, Just don't let anybody push you around or tell you that you're less than you are because they don't know who they are. Enjoy your journey. Spend some time alone in nature if your circumstances allow. Nature will accept you without judgment and bring you tremendous inner peace.

Know what makes the church groups that you're decribing so great, laverite? They're highly secularized. They've distanced themselves so far from the hatred and bigotry taught by the Judeo-Christian bible that they are able to act like compassionate beings.

You're finding out that the Witnesses aren't the only messed up religion out there. They're all about the same in the end. We're just more closely acquainted with the Witness brand of judgmentalism and bigotry. In time I hope that you find that you don't need any religion at all to be a happy fulfilled man. It's enough to belong to the congregation of humanity.
