Is Jesus God?
by Sea Breeze ini know that a lot of historical names have claimed to be a god.
but, jesus arguably claimed to be god.
scripture says he's the creator.

The idea that there are thousands of churches with different ideas on salvation is promoted mainly by the cults for obvious self-serving reasons.
Heaven help me, I have a point of agreement with Sea Breeze!

If Jesus isn't the one true god, how do we interpret the passages where he might have insinuated this? If he claimed it, how do we account for the inaccuracy of the claim?
Maybe he was just nuts.

This is nothing other than an argument from incredulity, sometimes called the divine fallacy. Sea Breeze says a proposition must be false simply because it goes against his personal beliefs, or perhaps that it's just too difficult to imagine or understand.
Much easier (and lazier) to say "God did it".
The truth is that some things really are difficult to understand, even unknown at this point - like the origin of life. It's perfectly okay to admit to not knowing something. That's just being humble in the face of the unknown. Arrogance shows itself in believers like Sea Breeze who claim to have the answers but NEVER provide the evidence.

Jana: When I'm speaking on the channel it's because I want to be helpful to survivors like myself.
Imagine you're a recovering alcoholic and you wish to help others survive their alcoholism too. Would you agree to appear on a show where the host unrepentantly admits to alcohol fueled binges every few months? He argues that there's nothing wrong with it.
C'mon Jana, you know your position is untenable.

Elena: If you believe evolution then some go off the rails like Lloyd did as there is no moral compass anymore and this just brings results that Lloyd has - suicidal extreme unhappiness having messed up everything and anyone in your life
You're as bad as the cult. How on earth does an understanding of evolution equate to the lack of a moral compass. That's not a rhetorical question, I'd like an answer. -

Jana: wouldn't you rather there be someone there to bring a sensitivity to the topic? To bring a lived experience to the topic?
Jana, you must have expected some pushback when you decided to post here but I hope you stick around and engage with us for a while longer.
Could you explain how you perceive Lloyds 'sensitivity' as regards CSA victims and just what do you mean about his 'lived experience'?
I just cannot fathom how a man who regularly supported the abuse of young women and girls by paying for their bodies can be endorsed as an advocate for abuse victims by anyone with a conscience.
It's never too late to reassess your position, I hope you do.
