No way.
I see nothing about him being a JW.
In fact, if she IS a JW and he is NOT then the proverbial shite should hit the fan. A big no no in Watchtowerland.
wonder if tony or splaine will be invited to the wedding :).
i am sure it will be at her kingdom hall to praise her great dod jehober.. http://www.cnn.com/2016/12/29/entertainment/serena-williams-engaged-alexis-ohanian/index.html.

the elders in this area are getting burned out.
i have overheard comments that demonstrate this, but in my dealings with them, i clearly see it.
they can't keep it straight.
@jwleaks...
If Jesus' load is light then why is the load of elders so heavy?
Love it! Gonna steal it!
so our sunday meeting was on the 25th (christmas) and my active jw wife and i were out of town enjoying some family time with relatives.. apparently there were many others in our congregation that missed as well.
so few were there in fact that sisters ran the mics.
(actually it was a sister running one of the two mics) a friend of my wife commented to her about how the brothers just aren't stepping up and it "makes her want to cry.
at least we aren't mic-sporting penis-handlers...unless that's what your into
this organization will never again be what it was by 2013-2014. .
they peaked in the form they were, i believe they were already falling apart in ways, but from the outside and to the majority r&f, things likely still seemed on the up and up.
browsing through the boards and just keeping my finger on the pulse of what's happening, this organization will never again be what it was.
I sometimes wonder if there isn't a split in the making at the top.
We get mags indicating one thing one month then something different the next. I know they've always flip flopped but it seems to me it's happening a lot more frequently.

One of my favorite elders was just removed (or step down I don't know which) during our last circuit overseer visit.
This guy has a lot of health problems and a wife who is mentally unstable. But he would give 100% to the congregation. A really good guy as far as I can tell.
These poor sods are really to be pitied. Just think of all the cognitive dissonance that the normal rank-and-file publisher feels an amp that up to a large degree and there I think you have the day-to-day life of a typical Elder.

You reminded me of something Hisclarkness.
Many years ago I was put on private reproof and it was during this time the book study I attended was mostly older sisters.
Well, one night there was only two brothers in attendance, the conductor and myself.
Well after the opening prayer being handled by the conductor the study and the reading by the conductor and of course the closing prayer being done by the conductor... I guess my private reproof was not so private anymore LOL

Good question.
I wasn't there to see it.

My wife said it's a shame and brothers outta be ashamed of themselves or something like that. I told her to back up a bit. How does she know the brothers are eligible for the privilege of running a mic. I pointed out the child molester in our cong. who is not allowed to do it as an example. She agreed in the end.
BTW this same sister is also the territory servant (or whatever it's called)
Anyway, I had never heard of that before and was wondering if anyone here had?
listener on here started a cool thread about the april 2017 wt which can be found here.... https://www.jehovahs-witness.com/topic/4881380162928640/watchtower-april-2017-overview.
it got me to look at it closer and in the opening study they use terminology i've never heard used before namely, "vow of obedience and poverty".... 19 currently, there are some 67,000 members of the worldwide order of special full-time servants of jehovah’s witnesses.
some perform bethel service, others engage in construction or in circuit work, serve as field instructors or special pioneers or missionaries or as assembly hall or bible school facility servants.
Thanks for the link Listener.
Crazy. They use words like order vow of poverty and the like. It's like looking at something Catholic.
I truly never new this existed.
I am sure blondie has it right...
