  Looking forward to going to Memorial this year!

  i have some tricks to play.

  i know it may sound childish but i feel that creating havoc and forcing the memorial to be postponed will be the highlight of the night!

  Why disrupt them? All it will do is re-enforce their persecution complex as Sir82 pointed out.

  The fact you are angry enough to cause disruption shows that you are still carrying a lot of baggage from the Org.

  Do yourself a favor and try to let it go and live your life. You will be much happier.

  "you are my witnesses says jehovah".. this is going to show you how poor my knowledge of the bible has been.. i thought there was a scripture that says the quoted phrase (at least in nwt).

  i could swear that i heard it for years quoted in talks.. i went to find it this morning and found nothing of the sort.

  am i an anomaly or do any of you remember this as well?.

  See, that's the thing that gets confusing to me.

  Was there a different word used in Hebrew? I mean how would the reader of a scroll in say 100BCE know the difference?

  I was looking for "says" instead of "declares" in the library and it didn't show up.

  Which brings up an interesting point (at least for my under educated brain)
  “You are my witnesses,”+ declares Jehovah,

  “Yes, my servant whom I have chosen,+

  So that you may know and have faith in me*

  And understand that I am the same One.+

  Before me no God was formed,

  And after me there has been none.+

  back in 2005, i remember sitting in the stadium in the special rows with 42 others.

  8000 people were looking at us - maybe even with a binocular - while listening to the speech.

  my family and my friends among them, being all proud of me.. i don't remember being enthusiastic.

  hey guys.

  i was recently talking to a old friend who is a very active elder.

  i was talking about ' the truth' and he suggested i sounded like an apostate because i used terms like ' the society' and ' watchtower '.. i am aware that ' dubspeak ' has changed over the years and i am pretty sure that someone posted about it here but i can't find the thread.
