My ex used to aux pioneer just for the recognition. After 3-4 times of aux pioneering during the special low hours months and not making the hours commitment, I asked the service committee why they approved her app again when she hadn't made her time the last 3-4 times. They told me she said she would make it this time- nope didn't happen

over time, it appeared to me the real purpose of field service time reporting was to gauge one's spirituality and for the ceo *cough* co to make sure the elders were on top of things during his visit..

@jules - EVERY picture of jesus ( at least that ive seen in the past 40 years) past and present shows a big fat long harry, nearly duck dynasty like beard. I asked my BOE, they said yea, thats weird

What i never understood was - if beards are not ok, why was EVERY picture depicting Jesus in his present position (now, today, ruling from heaven) shown with a beard? And a not a trimmed/groomed beard at that.

Ever bump in to a JW acquaintance at the gym?
by Vetiver inthis has happened to me on 4 occasions.
3 times it was an elder and i simply pretended i didn't know him and avoided eye contact.
the other time was someone of my age that didn't really talk to me of the opposite sex.

Saw someone from that Congo at the grocery store this month. Wouldn't even make eye contact with me.

They sit outside by the post office here. I work long hours M-F and usually can't get my mail on weekdays. Now, all summer long, it's like they're stalking the PO entrance on Saturdays. Oh well, on line bill pay is my friend, and soon it will be too cold to sit outside all day. Fwiw, I've never seen anyone at the carts except the Bros

the first episode is my wife's story, and after that i'll be helping others to tell their stories as well.
my goal is to shed light on the real lives of the shunned, to tell the stories that these religions don't want you to hear.

Nearly 40 years. Never DF'd but definitely shunned on my way out due to lies from a narcissistic (now ex) wife who months after the divorce got herself disfellowshiped. Not ready, and may never be ready to discuss it on a podcast. But I could tell stories of being shunned.... Domestic violence charges against the ex, and I'm getting shutting. Public reproof on the ex, and I'm shunned. Unchristian behavior judicial committee meetings on the ex, and I'm shunned. And that's just the last 15 years. Let's go back to childhood with a stepfather MS and complaints from myself and sister about physical and sexual violence and the kids are shunned while the monster is allowed to continue
