  What was the EXACT exJW website you first visited and why EXACTLY did you visit it?

  i had two episodes of visiting exjw websites:one time around 2007 when i just googled "jehovah´s witnesses" and dared to look at those sites.

  i was scared and i promised myself i would never come back to them.

  however, that one didn´t really count.the moment that woke me up was this:i got to know that whitney heichel was a jw and murdered by another jw, because i overheard that conversation in a kingdom hall.i looked up the news and in one of the news comments, there was one where an exjw was complaining that they were hijacking her funeral and they were really trying to downplay the fact that her murderer was a jw... and then it said "visit jwfacts.com"... which i did.and the rest... is history.what exactly got you onto an apostate website when you woke up?

  First time I googled JW when I was pimi it took me here. Didn't come back until one day as work was starting at the new headquarters an elder who know I was handy online asked me during the meeting where the property was located. He had a part on the 2nd half and wanted to talk about it. Googled it and it brought me here. Spent a good art of that meeting reading this forum

  Carts on both ends of the farmersmarket

  my wife and me have a booth at the local framers market.

  there is usually about 12 t0 14 vendors each week on a small short street in town.

  what is funny on each end of this short street are cart setups with 3 people on each cart.

  Do they even go door to door anymore?

  Work schedule has had me home most Saturdays for the last couple years. I've seen noone. Not even a tract or old mag in my door.

  Not that it matters much, first time they do come I'll add myself to the do not call list

  District Assemblies now being held at Circuit Assembly locations?

  i haven't been to a kh in decades, so i get the google alerts for jws and i got one featuring a local news channel in brooklyn covering the assembly being held in flatbush, brooklyn.

  i'm sure that venue is where the circuit assemblies are usually held, keeping in mind it's summer and that's when the district assemblies are being held.

  why are they acting like they're so strapped for cash and now holding district assemblies in circuit assemblies locations ?.

  They have never used the Holt MI assembly hall for DC's. In the 80s to 1996 DCs were in South Bend IN, Toledo and Pontiac. After 1996 the state went to Pontiac, Toledo and Cicero. After Pontiac stopped used, it was Saginaw, Belleville, Toledo.

  So funny dark knight. Yup. I was sitting in the first room where all the boxes came. In comes a 'cleaning crew'. I thought that looks odd, not the normal cleaning crew. A few minutes later, not long enough to clean anything, out they go. Asked an elder if that was the money leaving. He confirmed

  Funny. I was in the money counting room at Ford field too, one of the years the convention was there. Can't remember which.

  Over eating v over drinking

  when i was in, i couldn't understand why the subject of over eating or gluttony was almost never discussed, there was countless talks and articles about over drinking but over eating is lumped in as the same offence in the bible but was never discussed?

  an elder who was serving in the islands told me he heard a talk given by a local in the cong there who professed that "in the new system we can eat as much as we want and not get fat".

  so why was /is it not talked about?

  Facial Hair

  since i have been out for seventeen years what is the currant society policy concerning beards and mustaches.. in the sixties and seventies facial hair was forbidden at bethel if you white.

  if you were black you could have mustache but no beards.

  so obviously you could not be elder or pioneer if you had a beard.. any updates?

  Wait for the next memorial invite that shows Jesus in his present modern day position, in heaven, with a beard and ask why it's ok for Jesus? Aren't we supposed to follow his footsteps? He's doing something that isn't ok for the rest of the members?
