Slowly killing them…
by silentbuddha inso yesterday a family friend who was never age overs witness give me a phone call.
he says that he is quite upset with me and wants to give me a chance to explain why i'm treating my father so portly.
mind you i have not seen my father or mother in about 3 years and they refused to talk to me except for the occaisional crazy letter that my mother will send.. anyway my the family friend stated that he spoke to my mother and brother and they both told him that because i choose to leave the religion and in turn separate myself from the family it has caused my 80 something year old father a tremendous amount of stress and she is becoming sick and they're not sure how much longer he will be with us.. shoot felipe nothing they say really bothers me much anymore but the fact that i'm being accused of slowly killing my father because i've decided to make a decision that's better from my own family is actually quite frustrating to me.. give you hours after having of the conversation with our family friend i get a call from my older brother who then begins to be raped me and tells me that i should accept responsibility for the fact that i am the cause of our ejean father's poor health and that leaving jehovah causes problems not only for me but for those who love me.

he is getting old and he will die because that is what happens to human beings. THAT IS NOT YOUR FAULT. He had wrong expectations and that is not your responsibility. They refuse to communicate with you and you are causing stress for living your life on your terms.
Hard to muster up any sympathy for that kind of nonsense.
Send him a sympathy card about how much you regret that he was under the illusion that he would never grow old and die.
Geez.

In need of your advice. November broadcasting 2017
by pleaseresearch inso my mum asked me to watch the broadcast and to my astonishment i got through it without smashing my screen haha.. so i let her know what liars they are for saying they would never deliberately distort a quotation.. she is ok for me to give her some printouts of watchtower material where this has in fact happened, contry to what they say.. where should i start and what would be your best link, or way to approach this.
i think this is a good opportunity of waking her up, if she can see that the broadcast has lied to her, she won't be happy.. any advice is you can give is so appreciated.. thanks everyone..

Only share the ones that she can't justify with some vagueness clause. They have to be the real ones and there can be NO questionable ones in the mix. I know how they think and you do too-one example of yours that lacks credibilty will destroy the rest by association.

Everytime I say anything that is true(unpopular), it is deliberately misunderstood and I am shunned, ejected, removed and silenced. She has talent in being able to say what is true, and saying it in a way that others HEAR and UNDERSTAND her message. Good for Apostate Chick.

Uber Cart Witnessing at the State Fair
by truth_b_known inlast thursday i bunch of us working decided we were going to head down to the state fair and badge our way in to get a fletcher's corny dog for lunch.
we had to go to a specific gate to park and show our credentials to get in.
this meant driving halfway around the perimeter of the entire fairgrounds.

A lot of people with special needs are not lacking in intelligence at all, but do have a different filtering system and ways of interacting with their surroundings. I think the condescension can add an extra layer of difficulty because both parties can become angry and frustrated. I think the young man was being real when most of us are faking assent with our passive silence.

Normal things you missed out on as a kid (besides holidays)
by Are you serious insince me and my siblings had to go to service every saturday, and i mean every saturday, i missed out on something so normal as watching good ole saturday morning cartoons from the 70's and 80's.
i remember wishing i could stay home just one saturday so i could watch cartoons.
but noooo we had to go save lives!

by scratchme1010 ini guess at this point in time and space i'm ok if there's an indication of things going in the right direction.. my jw father, who joined the jws in 1973 when i was 8, has always had all the characteristics of the stereotypical brainwashed born again weirdo.
as a jw he always felt the need to show that he was more devoted than the rest of the crop.
to him, life became very easy from that point on: "the bible", interpreted by the millions of wt publications, along with the information in the meetings and getting involved in all jw activities, were the answer to everything and anything in his life".
