  the fake news is working overtime.

  just reported that, despite the tremendous success we are having with the economy & all things else, 91% of the network news about me is negative (fake).

  why do we work so hard in working with the media when it is corrupt?

  Which side/perspective/,religion/industry etc has a perfect record of even handed integrity never pushing their interest, agenda or belief system?

  There are no positions that come without baggage, including ex religionists or anti religionists. Kanye doesn't represent all blacks or males or entertainers, neither does Trump, Weinstein or a rabid ex JW represent every subset that they are a part of.

  Crap talk about any group builds division, walls, stereotypes. As "evil apostates" we should know that better than anyone. So why jump on ignorant bandwagons ,filled with angry people that have no interest in rational discourse?

  We often end up with the close mindedness that was actively encouraged by the org.

  Do we really want to still be those people who hates everyone who thinks, looks, believes differently than we do? That tries to silence them by cutting them out of the conversation?

  Might as well be a JW.

  went to see MOM for MOTHERS day and jw dad showed up

  i surprised mom with flowers and cake ,candy etc.

  she was so happy, i told her i was going to work.

  and couldn't see her for mother's day, she said she was just staying home,as none of my non jw bro's or sisters were taking her out for dinner.

  i'll start--i resigned in 1971, but attended occasionally as a non-interested husband to keep the wife sweet, untill my last circuit assembly in autumn 1980. no connection with the cult since then.

  so--its either 47 or 38 years, depending on how you see it.. which begs the question--why am i on this site now ?.

  So, if a kid reports an adult abuser and they don’t live in abusers home, if parents are notified then the community is safe?

  Reporting abuse isn’t merely about removing one child from immediate danger. My family is filled with abusers and it doesn’t stop with one child.

  Arlington is a fairly rural area -where trucks are used in FS. Dogs can be a recurring issue as there are a lot of more rural properties with big dogs. It is also filled with conservatives, gun owners and good schools.

  My daughter lives there not far from a KH (which is in a largely industrial area of town.) But she lives in town area. Not once was she visited by JWs and she works 2nd shift, so there is a lot of opportunity to catch her. Her neighborhood is safe for old ladies and small children.I

  Dogs are greatly dependent on their humans for behavior. My mom rescues small dogs that are not people friendly and tries to love them into being social creatures. It's not terribly successful in spite of love, care and dog whisperers. Can you imagine trying to remake the personality of a more dangerous breed? Too much moral and legal liability there!

  barbara anderson examined the rnwt revision of lev.5:1 and revealed the wtb&ts to be deceptive as to applying it to congregation members being required to "tattle" on their brothers to expose sin.

  she shows that is just not so as lev.5:1 has nothing to do with tattling.

  So much indoctrination! One who is battling terminal illness was going on about how Jehovah blessed them with a good used trailer years ago when they were homeless. Mentioned how distressed they were to see homeless camps set up in downtown of our big city. Dying of cancer, surrounded by homeless people, talking to a person displaced and made homeless recently by a hurricane and the God who blessed her a decade ago with a mouse turd infested used camper isn't saving her from cancer, others from natural disasters or homelessness but isn't Jehovah truly a loving god???

  I love these ladies who are going against indoctrination to spend time with me. I can deal with the theocratic nonsense, but don't they even HEAR themselves??

  Cancer got her before old age pensions could even kick in! Then they keep going on as if their religion is going to be banned worldwide, signs of times, yada yada.

  It was a long weekend, but we had fun outside their earnest reminders that the end was near. The hypocrisy that they (and many) attribute to God just bothers me.

  My JW Elder Brother Passed Away

  he was basically a good man, just a believer in the religion.

  when we were both elders we were best of friends and then things deteriorated when i was not an elder for a while.

  then after becoming an elder again, i slowly drifted away from the religion and he drifted further away from me.
