I’m glad you’re so careful for your wife’s wellbeing. I hope any karma that’s in the world rewards you and your family and may your wife find solace in familiar surroundings and have her symptoms recede. MS is so unpredictable, but you can guarantee that great emotional stress exacerbates it. I hope the next transition is smooth!

Wasn't he on probation from an earlier offence? Then reoffended?
I f he pled guilty, why keep him out of jail? Pleas usually result in less time served than a retrial and conviction. If he knows he's guilty and evidence won't exonerate him, why waste money? He built the reputation that makes convictions easier. It's unfortunate that he broke laws. If you all think he's the best thing ever, change laws, I guess.
I'm not a UK citizen so I don't have rights to say how things ought to be in their country, but it you don't like things, I imagine you can vote and you do have representive govt.

Welcoming Our Latest JW Apologist JTrottigy
by pale.emperor ini'd like to take this opportunity to warmly welcome our newest jw apologist jtrottigy.
.
he'll likely only be here for a few days like most jw defenders before he runs away when presented with his own doctrine.. so far he's already said some hilarious stuff, like "there's no such thing as nepotism in jehovah's organisation", "confidentiality is paramount to elders" and, my personal favourite "the overlapping generation is so simple to understand".. yh don't think i don't remember you from jwtalk..

they are pretty much standard college kids.

So I ask the men here: is that the way most guys talk when no one is looking, or are they perverts who found their particular tribe?

Do You Ever Wish That Hillary Was President?
by minimus inhillary is very supportive of doing whatever it takes to undermine trump.
would you be happy if she were your president?.

I didn't like Hilary, but on the continuum, Trump is so low that I'd prefer her.
I work with a socially and economically conservative person who is extremely wealthy. He knows her personally and after the election, when he lost any possibility of benefiting from his association with a incumbent (as we mostly felt she was until election night) he told me reasons that he loves and respects her as a person. None of them will be in headlines or if so, would be considered as a thing done for optics. She did a lot of good for people who could do nothing beyond their vote for her. She was kind and generous when no one was writing a story of taking a picture.
I don't know her. This is me and my friend is one person who knows her well. I'm not saying I think she's all that and a bag of chips, but I don't think she is the evil female portrayed by the right wing media.
The man was a longtime conservative who has known her for about 12 years. He voted for her because he had no other viable option. He knows trump for a bit longer and never imagined that he'd make that decision. But he has done business with trump so there's a different perspective.
It's funny because he would personally benefit from a strong conservative leader, but he sees trump as a man who's out for his #1. Which would be trump. He doesn't think he's good at all.
Yep. This is hearsay. I know the integrity of my business associate though.
I'm still surprised that he won. i wish anyone else had won, but it's still america. So far.

Yeah, some stereotypes rub me the wrong way. Carpentry and gardening. I loved working in shop with dad, rebuilt engines, went hunting and fishing and my hetero creds are well established and firm. My dad was a carpenter and iron worker was also an avid gardener and baker (awesome at it). My uncle who was in army 20 years crochets avidly. He collects eagle paraphernalia and has flamingos and trolls in his yard and looks like a biker. Not gay or in denial. Just an individual.

Wasanelderonce has the most effective response for your 13 year old self. "No." Is something you likely need to be in a more independent position to get away with in the J. W world.

Here is something you will learn the value of as you get older:
"No." It's a complete sentence.
