in my area i know of four congregations dissolved in one circuit, so that leaves eight weeks a year empty for that circuit overseer's calendar.
dissolving congregations is happening more than in my area, so i believe we can assume other c.o.s have open time.
it appears that c.o.s are visiting with a companion c.o.
I just put the video up because it is entitled Second Circuit Overseer. Sorry I didn't explain better. I put it up as an example of two C.O.s visiting a congregation dealing with someone who is asking questions (apostate).

Dissolving congregations is happening more than in my area, so I believe we can assume other C.O.s have open time. It appears that C.O.s are visiting with a companion C.O. more often than in the past. It is happening in my area, and in this video there were two C.O.s visiting this congregation that was under the threat of apostasy, if I understand it correctly:
ps: This is a man documenting on youtube his asking questions of the elders, getting a local needs about him, C.O. talking about reporting apostasy in a talk, his JC meeting, etc.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQ-hRs3FY1I
My thought is they are doubling down to:
1. Keep those C.O.s busy gosh darn it!
2. The first priority is any congregation that has whispers of apostasy is first on the list to double down.
3. I assume next C.O. round, Sept 2018 they will combine circuits and "reassign" C.O.s (let the reader use discernment: lay off!)
4. It is also a way to keep watch on C.O.s and have them snitch on each other since they don't have their visit with the D.O. anymore.
I know many of you couldn't give a flying fig, but if you do: What do you think?
witnessing would cease, would it flow on to attendance numbers at meetings and then total decimation of the church..
Now they want you to report the hours that you have worked for the LDC(used to be RBC, now Local Design C????). During the announcement at my hall they did not have time (really???, yeah right!) to explain the reasons behind the new requirement. Then he ever so kindly let us know it helps them know what we are doing. uggh.
I went to avoidjw.org to look at the most recent letter about the LDC, but it is blank now.
My thoughts are with you avoidjw!
So the monthly time card has another task to report.
this is my first post and i'm feeling like i'm doing something bad big time!
i know on my mind it isn't, but the feelings are less manageable.. well, since i'm still a jw it's better not to give too much info, but i'm from brazil.. i've grown-up in the religion and practicly all my family, my closest friends and my girlfriend are loyal jws.
i used to be a regular pioneer but i still have a service privilege on my congregation.. i've had questions about the teachings of the wt since i was 10, but naturally i always pushed it away as it were "questioning the holy organization".. i started a friendship with some people in a course i took and we talked about a lot of subjects.
Welcome! Keep researching, and you will be free... at least mentally, and eventually physically.
i still believe in freedom of religion even if i disagree with the beliefsof the religion.
what about you?.
I used to think banning was a good idea because of the atrocities of human sacrifice to a blood doctrine, shunning, and turning a blind eye to child abuse. However, then I thought about my fore fathers, a few of whom were Jdubs under ban. One of them thought is was exciting to join a religion under ban! The stories about this time were told over and over and over. The ban and hatred of the religious leaders promoting it is one of the reasons they never woke up. I agree with taxing the crap out of them, outlawing shunning, safeguarding whistle blowers, and funding spies to ensure compliance. Also, teaching children how to recognize logical fallacies, emotional control, limiting information, thought control, etc.
birds of a feather flock together.
australian cardinal george pell: "they are false.
the whole idea of sexual abuse is abhorrent to me.".
Do they ever say "We abhor pedophilia"?
If so, the overlords probably do not view pedophilia as child abuse.
i just learned that my wife's congregations will soon be disbanded.
her congregation will disappear (cahuenga spanish in north hollywood in southern california).
all the members will be added to other neighboring congregations.
That's great news neverajw! Thanks for sharing. I don't know about the Spanish speakers here, and have wondered if they are also contracting.
I know of a cong here that had a very serious talk by the c.o. saying they were in a critical position because of so many inactive people. The next c.o., six months later, reported that they were doing well. Nothing changed. The inactive were just taken off the lists, and they were lied to by that crocked c.o. Of course, they were doing well because a lot of people woke up. Now they are combined with another congregation; hiding the losses. Poor mind controlled JWs putting up with thought stopping. Can't be negative about the contraction!
It makes it easier to fade!
thw wts likes to play games with their statistics.
one interesting but truly tragic is the number of jwhovah's witnesses who commit suicie.. now i suspect that if a person commits suicide shortly before or after they are disfellowshipped then the elders would say that person wasn't a witness or that they had done something so terrible that they were too guilty to admit it and by their action of committing suicide they pretty much declared they were no longer a jw.. yup fancy talk to make sure any crap didn't fall on them.. so my question.. do you know of cases like this?
if so then can you answer a few more questions.. had this person been dfed or in real danger of being dfed or whatever the equivalent is if they were never baptized?.
I know of five:
1. a DF'ed teen
2. an older brother, shot gun with a note, left a widow and children
3. an older brother, elder or ex-elder, left a widow and grandchildren
4. a young husband
5. a sister that was abused by her husband and sisters felt uncomfortable around him, he was a Presiding jerk
I'm sure there were more that I was never told about. I heard about the cause of death of number three from and indirect source, not from the person that should have told me. The elder that told me and hubby seemed to act like he thought we were "strong" enough to handle the suicide of that man.
