New data movement this is what I see as their goals .

first i don’t believe they will want to much personal information ie bank accounts etc do to potential legal problems down the road.
what i think is their goal is once all publishers are in the data base they then have no need for written information about any issue concerning a publisher and how issues are handled by elders and the branch etc... this information now is in their own data base and can be deleted or manipulated by them at any time.

Just want to say I'm loving reading these posts. When one brings me into the edge of craziness, another grounds me with reason. I'm not totally agreeing with either, but it is helping me think.
ps. I did not ever think they would assassinate someone for partaking! ha ha ha ha ha. They only kill people with shunning, the no blood policy, neglect, ... But, really they would not murder for you for becoming annointed.

I attended my 2nd exjw meetup and it was brilliant

so many experiences.
it was incredibly engaging to actually meet people in the flesh and hearing their personal stories.. the damage the watchtower organisation causes to peoples lives is absolutely disgusting.

Secondly, I think there are people on that data base that were never CO, elder, MS, Pioneer, etc. Even when they were watchtower.borg pre jw.borg in around 2013 I believe anyone could set up a log in with them. Even sisters could set up a personal log in! Wow! What a privilege we have, and how we are honored! Since then they have recently been pushing people to set up a log in, and to have a recurring withdrawal to wt set up. Aren't these people part of 750,000 already in 'the Hub'? Maybe I'm wrong. IDK. Seems like they would not let those slip by.

What is CT Russell's motive?

Russell started his own 'movement' (religion/cult) just like all the many, many Adventist end day movements at the time (1). I just cannot see his sincerity since he copied so many phrases they used like "present truth", "new light", "opposers", "meat in due season", "Babylon the Great", "this generation", "faithful class", "the truth", "pioneer work" and to my knowledge did not give credit to the originators (2). Is that sincere? These buzz words and phrases were in use by the Adventists or Millerites since the 1840s, and Russell copied them. Also, a sincere person searching the scriptures would have many other sincere people helping him to see why and how his 'movement' was full of heresy. He may have been sincere, but stubborn as hell, and enjoying his adoring fans, which led to evil culty actions. Then a year before his death in 1915 he was accused of kidnapping a girl with money into his cult. I cannot believe again that a nice sincere man turned into someone who allowed this to happen. People become famous with adoring fans all the time and do not turn into cult leaders that kidnap girls with money, right? There has to be a tendency (of narcissism or whatever) there from before the fame. Sure it wasn't as culty as now, but for a big newspaper to say it? That says something. My peanut gallery comments form a quick cursory look at the above pdf.: New York is one party in case anybody is talking to the GB, ha ha never. Illinois is all parties, interesting with Chicago and it's history of criminal politics. I love Chicago, btw, it's just a fact that it has a politically shady past and probably present. You should visit it if you can, downtown, Miracle Mile and state street, and more, just not South Chicago.
That being said, they hide JCs from new people as long as possible. If they try get the law involved, they get publicity for one of their most secret and culty practices. As the victim of the JC you could try to get even more publicity because of the charge against you.

zuckerberg lost billion$$ when people realized that he had prostituted their personal data and now wt wants the same signed access that he had to info that is $$$.... wt already owns all the real estate and now wants to own all the data.... it´s a current and global issue - please share your thought with the rest of us here.. .

the title, if only, the brother didnt change his name he is, alex bogdanov, to support this brother i bought his book.
it is fiction about couples and i didnt think nothing of it, but after reading a few chapters one of the characters is an ex jw, i don’t think this character is disfellowshipped in the book, but she is definitely not active.

It is really scary as a PIMO trying to wake my husband. They already have enough info on me from different sources. I'm pretty sure I've donated back in the day at watchtower.borg, and I know I did it on jw.borg up till a few years ago.
One way they could use it in the cong is to notice when your donations go down, and start shepherding. Of course, it would be all so very clandestine probably with the 'shepherds' getting word that your on-line self is becoming spiritually weak, and not knowing your donations went down. That would be for some other group of people. But maybe I am wrong and they couldn't do that?
If they sold the data it would be one of their corporations that the flock are not familiar with doing the selling. Or for that matter, that even most exjws are not familiar with. Then of course, there would need to be some tricky wording in the Data Form to be able to do that legally. Wait, these scumbags are the Kings of tricky wording.
Some Europeans on here were justifiably complaining about data protection here in the U.S. Even though I know very little it reminded me of my thought every time I get a data privacy notice or have to sign one to get something. I think: 'this is just covering their butt for when all data is stolen'. It is the opposite of a protection policy, it is a reminder to me that they have some of my data and I signed off that if it gets stolen I was aware that it could happen. I'm sure this is not exactly how it works, but that's my thoughts.
Since the U.S. sucks at data protection, imagine wt supposedly protecting data! They are way more incompetent than the U.S. gov. I think people would also get their identity stolen and never know it was WT that allowed it to be stolen.
