New data movement this is what I see as their goals .

first i don’t believe they will want to much personal information ie bank accounts etc do to potential legal problems down the road.
what i think is their goal is once all publishers are in the data base they then have no need for written information about any issue concerning a publisher and how issues are handled by elders and the branch etc... this information now is in their own data base and can be deleted or manipulated by them at any time.

I went to see if Deciphering Warship put a video up about this new data subject (DW is super entertaining), but he already had a paranoid video when they added the notes feature. There are a couple crazy ludicrous jumps to conclusions (putting daughter to bed). But there are also a couple good highlights like the girls answer at the meeting about death, the bible getting burned, ruined, torn up, run over, the Skype advertisement/product placement.... So here it is.

The active/awake iPad next to the possibly legally blind girls bed while she sleeps makes me think of the websites that were caught turning peoples cameras on. Not that the they would do that. However, that makes me think of Barbara Anderson telling the story of the Jewish man that lectured and was upset with the writing department. Who was he and how was he connected? Would/could there be others directing the 'brothers' to do things that those directing could use for nefarious actions?

Why do Jehovah's Witnesses always answer questions through the bible?
by MarieChii inhi.. recently i've been researching jehovah's witnesses and their beliefs and found out that they don't believe in blood transfusions.
so, i've asked one of my friends who is a jw as to what is the reason for this, and so far, they had always directed me to a bible verse that is in their bible.. clearly, i wasn't getting anywhere and so far, it's pretty much frustrating to even make my friend give me reasonable reason.
when i was getting somewhere, even a smidgen, they would answer with a question.

I've plugged this youtube channel before, but listening to this christian's phone witnessing to JWs will help give you ideas. She also believes Sola scriptura, but knows JWs and Watchtower more than many who used to be JWs. She tries to be kind, and 99% of the time is very nice. JWs push buttons, and every once in a while you can see it gets to her. She shares scriptures with them, when they don't hang up! The Bible is usually what wakes up JWs, but sometimes it's non-biblical stuff like evolution or science.

Just want to say I'm loving reading these posts. When one brings me into the edge of craziness, another grounds me with reason. I'm not totally agreeing with either, but it is helping me think.
ps. I did not ever think they would assassinate someone for partaking! ha ha ha ha ha. They only kill people with shunning, the no blood policy, neglect, ... But, really they would not murder for you for becoming annointed.

I attended my 2nd exjw meetup and it was brilliant

so many experiences.
it was incredibly engaging to actually meet people in the flesh and hearing their personal stories.. the damage the watchtower organisation causes to peoples lives is absolutely disgusting.

Secondly, I think there are people on that data base that were never CO, elder, MS, Pioneer, etc. Even when they were watchtower.borg pre jw.borg in around 2013 I believe anyone could set up a log in with them. Even sisters could set up a personal log in! Wow! What a privilege we have, and how we are honored! Since then they have recently been pushing people to set up a log in, and to have a recurring withdrawal to wt set up. Aren't these people part of 750,000 already in 'the Hub'? Maybe I'm wrong. IDK. Seems like they would not let those slip by.

What is CT Russell's motive?

Russell started his own 'movement' (religion/cult) just like all the many, many Adventist end day movements at the time (1). I just cannot see his sincerity since he copied so many phrases they used like "present truth", "new light", "opposers", "meat in due season", "Babylon the Great", "this generation", "faithful class", "the truth", "pioneer work" and to my knowledge did not give credit to the originators (2). Is that sincere? These buzz words and phrases were in use by the Adventists or Millerites since the 1840s, and Russell copied them. Also, a sincere person searching the scriptures would have many other sincere people helping him to see why and how his 'movement' was full of heresy. He may have been sincere, but stubborn as hell, and enjoying his adoring fans, which led to evil culty actions. Then a year before his death in 1915 he was accused of kidnapping a girl with money into his cult. I cannot believe again that a nice sincere man turned into someone who allowed this to happen. People become famous with adoring fans all the time and do not turn into cult leaders that kidnap girls with money, right? There has to be a tendency (of narcissism or whatever) there from before the fame. Sure it wasn't as culty as now, but for a big newspaper to say it? That says something.
