  is there a thread that lists the kh's that are being sold in the us?

  i just learned that my old hall is getting sold and the 2 congregations that are meeting there are merging with 2 congregations in another hall..

  I have a personal list with dates for my area, some are approximate. Here's an offer: If you have names of congregations, kingdom halls with the dates (approximate is o.k.), I"ll list them here.

  I don't want to list my own unless I have others also. I'm too effing paranoid. So, if you are like me, you could p.m. your info to me to post.

  I'll keep it on a master document so I can keep track so as avoid duplicating. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

  Hope I'm not being weird, or umm... 'prominent'! I'm kind of worried that I'd be able to keep up, but, somebody has got to do it. Kim Mikey has a video on it, but I know they had some mistakes too. A list in writing would be good.great!

  i am interested in the approach this forum takes to money.

  apart from sex, (which i am quite relaxed about) it seems to me that wealth is the surest divider between those who are moral, and those who are not.. it seems jesus thought so, also.

  luke 16:19-31 kjv describes well enough his dusty attitude to the rich who do not succour the poor.. and this world has many poor: so many, it might seem that we can do nothing about it, and twist his words; 'the poor ye shall have always with you, but me, ye shall not have always.

  1. Thanks for the hair answers peeps! Yeah, I was wondering if it had to do with her high melanin and curly hair. Such double standards. Thought the black people doing things us melanin challenged can't was a U.S. thing, it's too bad it's spread.

  That guy is a nutter. I was just astonished with the hair, and that crazy man not even drawing attention to the hypocrisy!!! She was in a composite clip he put together and it sent me searching for the full video. Maybe I'm the nutter.

  Withdrawing community support in the congs

  i've noticed in the past 10 years that the social support that used to be available in the congs, a shoulder to cry on, elders to help with family/marriage issues these seem to have been purposely withdrawn.

  counsel is even heard from the platform that the elders are not there to help people with their problems.. so first in the 80s-90s they take away the congregation get to getters and social events and now they seem to be going one step further in taking away the emotional support for people too.. this will take away an aspect that i'm sure was keeping alot of people in the borg, the community support.

  if that's not there and its just about meetings and ministry how many will start to get their emotional support elsewhere?.

  Just look at the leaked videos about going to the cong you are assigned whether it makes sense or not. They were splitting up families. They are purposely tearing apart their communities. I've seen it with combining congs. They don't' just combine, they move people all over the place that have come to know each other. It's a mess, and people are more zombie ish than ever because they are supposed to be happy, but they are more miserable than ever.

  It's like crackdown on big parties in the 80s, but now they are switching up congregations. Like if people don't get too familiar with each other, apostasy won't break out!

  They are starting to understand. We need a This American Life expose on JWs sort of like when they got a pulitzer for 'Bad Bank'. (Thought I'd put that out there, cos when I said we need elder's to record elders meeting that seemed to work!)

  P.E. Saves paper? I don't see how this could be a trick.

  They have been saving paper on time slips for years. It must be 99% that turn their time in via text or phone. People were bragging about it before the iPads were a thing. It was the hip thing to do if you were a publisher or elder. Now it is very rare to have an elder that doesn't take your time via text, and they are getting rid of them. They are letting those elders that don't text off the hook, and other elders are doing that work.

  It is definitely a control thing; its gotta be easier to red flag individuals. Algorithms can be set up, and C.O.s can enforce the shepherding calls on such 'weak' ones.

  I'm not trying to slam you P.E., I'm just not buying the saving paper reason. At. All. You rock, btw.

  Edit: Oh, also, who is going to switch from paper to electric card? The texters will switch from text to on-line, the paper reliant people will need others to fill in the 'electronic' card.

  do you remember the first time you found out "the truth about the truth"?.

  yes, it was confronting, shocking and life altering.

  yes it was hard to deal with.. but, along with that, many have said that they experienced a sense of thrill, euphoria, or joy when realising the facts about the religion that held us captive mentally and physically for so long.. it was liberating to learn some of the controversial teachings etc.

  Cortisol. Truck loads of cortisol. Still pumping as an effing PIMO with the love of my life being PIMI. Can't ask him hard questions for a month (there's a situation), then I need to ramp it up for my own hormonal safety.

  I remember forgetting to lock my car, not being aware of my surroundings, crying myself to sleep. It was when Margaret Sanger got to talking about how cults keep you busy in the following video that I broke down and cried myself to sleep when hubby was away.

  In fact, I think making a movie composite of people waking up, going from one person to the next as they covertly look online and their reactions would make an interesting film. Probably a short, or it would be a small segment of a movie. Just one person is too boring.

  there are over 8 million jdubs and i would venture a guess that at least 20% to 30% are pimo.

  in my opinion, the kingdom hauls are only half full for two reasons....many have left but the majority are pimo and any little excuse will keep them home and they will report their token ghost hours in service.

  all it takes to stay home is being tired, too much school homework or i will go next week, no doubt many have taken part-time jobs and the fear of working the second shift and the guilt of missing meetings is gone.
