last night i had to suffer through the bs spouted by the new co. some garbage about the bible transforming us as people.
he went on and on about how we can look good to people at the hall who see the outside, but the bible will tell us what we are inside.. then he proceeded to use a few select verses to say sex is bad and so is the desire for it.
a healthy bank account or savings is wrong, shouldn't have that either.
Nice. We had a CO years ago that said having medical insurance was useless.
"Just go to the hospital when your sick, they can't turn you down!!" Then he finished by saying, " When the bill comes, just wait till the end of the year and call the hospital. There is a chance they will cover the entire cost!!" What an idiot!😡
i'm returning to jehovah tomorrow night.
but yeah i'm going to the meeting to put in my token visit as part of my fade.
even if you don't believe in god pray that i can keep my mouth shut for a couple of hours because it's going to be awfully hard to do so.. before i woke i was quite involved, commented a ton, personable.

The people for the most part are nice at the meetings especially if your a people person. Talking about everyday things usually isn't a problem with them. It's when they start talking about all the learning they did from the meeting that's hurl-worthy.
edit: If the elders give you a hard time tell them you have anal stenosis along with a raging case of hemorrhoids. Tell them that you acquired it from not wiping properly. Tell them that you get relief from freezing hot dogs and sticking them up there. Tell them that you don't like wasting food so you boil em up afterwards.
Well that's what I'm thinking of telling them if I get harassed next time I'm gone for a while. That'll keep them off your back.😬

The wife and I never planned to have children in "this system". Seeing so many people having kids now makes me happy. I imagine perhaps they see that this world is going to last a long time and they don't want to live a life of regret like many old timer have by not having kids.
People at our current hall feel it is a complete waste of time to have children now seeing as "the end is so close." Sad that they listen to the dribble that comes from watchtower.

Sadly they miss the point that Jesus was talking TO that generation. It doesn't overlap and there is no second fulfillment.

You make a good point OTWO. Currently I am being pressured and hounded at my current hall but who knows what could happen at a new one. My hope is for lazy elders but one cannot know.
edit: So maybe miss more and more and then if the pressure gets too high then say , "we moved".
