Of all the stories in the bible, the flood has to be the most retarded. There is way too much evidence to prove that it didn't happen. It still amazes me that people believe that some old guy and his family built a boat and squeezed all manner of life in it from different continents. Not to mention enough food and water. Also to think that fresh water fish survived this global catastrophe is unreal.
Belief in this story in its entirety is a measurement in gullibility.

There is so much this world has to offer and dubs unfortunately are really missing out. That's probably why they are so depressed and depressing to be around.
I think my mother-in-law knows the wife and I are no longer going to meetings. We told them that we moved to a hall 45 minutes from home. She keeps bringing up stories of how miserable ex-JW's are. Funny as the wife just said last night that she has never felt better since we stopped attending meetings.
my heart goes out for all people stuck in all high control groups, either with insight into the falsehood of their beliefs or none.. to remain a member whilst knowing it false however, must be soul destroying.. my question is, would you carry on living the lie if you discovered that we get one life, one go at existing.
it's short, it's fragile and nobody in 100 years will care we even existed..... .......if you came to that realisation would you quit?.
.......if you had children, would you leave in order to set them an example in strength and appreciation of the short time we enjoy?.
Realizing life is short is the reason why I don't give a crap anymore. I am self-disassociated. I have not done so formally. Life is too short to be screwing around in a false religion.
My heart goes out to those whom because of financial or family obligations, have to stay in for the time. That has to be torture on the mind to "play the game" with family and friends.
Myself, if I get caught doing something wrong I will simply tell them to eat me. They have no power. They are just men running a publishing house of lies. Nothing more. 😊

By telling people to not have sexual fantasies, they in effect are making them have sexual fantasies.
It's like telling a food addict to not think about food. Once said, all that person can think about is food.
Same goes with sex. Tell a person to not think about it in effect MAKES them think about sex.

I'm surprised to hear dubs actually doing yoga. Where I live, doing yoga is considered demonized. Not sure what the policy is on it but I know that pretty much anything remotely spiritualistic can get a good dub in big trouble.
Good for them if they have found something to make them feel good! With all the depressing people in the organization, you would think Watchtower would change their thinking on the matter?

I figure Satan already overtook my brain since the wife and I left Watchtower so why not invite a few demons in with some good old yoga. 😎
All kidding aside, yoga has been a nice change of pace to my normal workout which is mainly weight lifting. While nice, weightlifting can be stressful and can sometimes limit mobility. Adding yoga a few days a week helps you to learn to breath and be flexible which is good for preventing injury.
Spiritually speaking though the classes I take and the stuff I do at home has little to no spiritual significance. You learn to hone your focus and breathing which really clears the mind and helps eliminate stress.

The whole 1914 disaster should be enough to motivate most dubs to reconsider their stand with "true worship."

Thanks everyone for your thoughts on this subject. I always thought it cruel that the JW's deliver such a watered down message that really nobody understands and that is to be a "life saving work."
Although I am currently on a boat is very stormy weather regarding the bible, I find the idea that God extends mercy to people AFTER the great tribulation to those who see what's happening comforting. It reaffirms my old belief that God is loving and wants people to be saved.
