just wanted to say a quick hello.

I appreciate that because we feel like bad parents every time we see our NICU docs. They make us feel like we are not doing enough and we are seriously doing everything they are telling us and then some! And this baby despite all the pain and trouble she had early on is the happiest baby I have ever seen. She gets sooo much love from her Mom and Dad and everyone else for that matter.
She also qualified for a program called “Early On” so she is getting physical therapy once a week and occupational therapy at home twice a month. There is also a teacher who comes by once a month to asses and play with her a bit.
I know one day she will catch up in weight. I mean she was one pound three ounces when she was born and now she’s over nine pounds. That’s friggin amazing in itself.

We have a few baby carriers and do a lot of skin to skin with her. My wife is stay at home and she carries her around while doing things as well as when we go around town. She even uses the carrier to feed on the go! Very convenient since she is feeding every three hours with the exception of night time. She’s been sleeping a solid 10 hours through the night and just started her on a good two hour nap in the afternoon.

Thanks for the good wishes! She was just over 4 pounds at the time we took her home. She was there for 78 days. Actually she went home two full weeks before her “due date”!! Now she is a bit over 9 pounds. The only issue she is having is failure to thrive. She’s a slow gainer even with all the feeds and extra bottles we give her. She’s a very happy baby though. Such a joy to have in our life!

She will be one years old in July!!!!!! Party is being planned.

I don’t get it either. My last elders meeting we found out that one of the elders kept $20,000 in the bank for the tv upgrades that the hall needed before the jwtv bullshit started.
This turned into a huge argument because the money should have been given to “mother” and not kept. So what did the dumb dicks do? They sent the money to “mother” then asked for some back for the TVs. Shortly after a letter came stating that the congregations were responsible for those tv upgrades and they ended up paying for it anyways. So no return of money like the elders thought.

It boggles my mind that these people can’t see through the BS and are still willing to give all their moneys to the Borg.
A congregation can’t even save enough money to do any minor repairs. $5000 doesn’t go very far when your in a run down 30 year old building shared by three other congregations.

This happened during the big money grab a few years back as a jump start to the LDC. The congregation was told by two representatives that we were not utilizing our hall efficiently enough and that there were congregations in Florida that needed halls before us.
So basically we would get our hall, but the money would be used to help build Kingdom Halls in areas that needed it even more than we did.
I’m sure deep down many were mad over this but nobody said a word. It was after this that the elders noticed a sharp decline in publisher hours. Our congregation was the lowest average in circuit.

Many were moving from the Detroit area to Clinton Twp so the congregations were growing very rapidly. With this in mind it was decided to go ahead with a double hall which at the time was needed.
Our congregation was very overpopulated as well as some others. We also had 4 congregations in that building and it was showing its age.
