does anyone else feel overwhelmed on what to believe?.
i've been doing lots of research on beliefs, evolution, creationism but i feel no further forward about what i truly believe.
for example i looked at the fossil record and tiktaalic and thought great it proves a lot but then i've seen counter arguments on youtube of people basically saying its a load of rubbish and doesn't prove anything.
Best to conclude, “We don’t really know” and honestly that’s ok!!! You’re allowed to believe whatever you want now. Don’t get stuck trying to find “the truth” or else you’ll just be left at someone’s mercy and basically back at square one.
It’s difficult at first to accept but we will only know if there is life beyond this life when we die so better to live the best you can and be a good person. At least your conscience will be clear before the curtain falls.

this week marks her one year since her coming home from nicu.
she has been growing and changing so much these last few months in particular.
I wanted to share a few recent pics of Izabella with everyone. This week marks her one year since her coming home from NICU. She has been growing and changing so much these last few months in particular. Her weight was 4LBS 3 OZ when she came home to close to 15 LBS currently. She was a slow gainer for a while but has picked up the pace to over a pound of gains a month. She’s also eating solids three times a day. She is also off the bottle and on to sippy cups.
She is crawling and sitting up on her own and getting into everything. Her temperament is almost always happy and laughing. Many mornings she will wake up laughing for some reason. This all while teething!!! She’s a good baby.
This is the same kid who received multiple blood transfusions of which Watchtower taught us that they were deadly. I know better now and she is the results of that as well as how far science has taken us. Years ago this child probably wouldn’t have made it if not for the scientific achievements of many.
my husband was baptized at the recent 2018 convention in south africa ....... he was very annoyed that his non-believing wife did not attend the baptism....... but i think he received pressure from his jw father & elders as to why his wife was not attending ....... anyway ..... it's really water off my back .
i wanted to know what privileges you get as a baptized jw man , as i saw a message from one of the elders at his cong , congratulating him on his baptism and to earning more privileges ..... what are these privileges the elder is speaking about ,,,,, .
i don't feel like asking my husband as it just lands up in a stupid fight ..... or a long winded explanation ..... thanks .
Sadly it’s just mindless work for a mindless organization. He can handle mics at the meetings now and give more talks at the Hall. In time if he’s a “YES MAN” he can qualify as a Ministerial Servant or an Elder after that.
I feel sorry for you that you have to deal with this. He WILL pressure you to study with him because it will be expected of him to have regular “family worship”. Don’t give in!! The JWs cherry pick like all other religions and make things sound so great but it’s all a mirage. In the end, he’s just another puppet for a nefarious, child molester protecting organization.
i personally have a very distinct sense of style and fashion which many of the fellow jdubs frown upon.
recently, i was told by a few specially self righteous ones that i looked like a prostitute in a pair of white boots!
a pair of 3 inch heeled, just a little taller than the ankle boots, with skirt that came down to my knees and a black long sleeve shirt that came up to my collarbone.
There was a pioneer sister in our hall who would wear a skirt to the floor and long sleeve to the wrist, all the time! Something about Israelite women and showing no skin.
This sister wouldn’t work with my wife because she would wear shirts that showed off her arms in the heat of summer. It was pathetic.
just lately i've become weary of following recipes in books or online.
recently when on holiday in the lake district i wanted to make pasta with a tomato and cheese sauce but the only interesting cheese they had at the local store was a somerset brie.
i discovered when peeled of its skin and tossed in with tomatoes and pasta it melts beautifully and tasted amazing.
Sounds amazing Xan!! I also like to experiment with base recipes. I’ll get a recipe and then alter it to what I have around the house or just to our families personal taste.
Since the new addition, my wife has been very busy with her and other projects as well as the local MOMS Club so I’ve taken over the cooking in our house. We are also BLW or baby lead weaning so we try to make meals that Izabella can also eat. We do Italian, Mexican, and lots of dishes that feature chicken. My wife’s favorite was the homemade Cheeseburger Mac.
Been also experimenting with baking and make some incredible chocolate chip cookies and sugar cookies, much to the detriment of my waistline.

i haven't been to a kh in decades, so i get the google alerts for jws and i got one featuring a local news channel in brooklyn covering the assembly being held in flatbush, brooklyn.
i'm sure that venue is where the circuit assemblies are usually held, keeping in mind it's summer and that's when the district assemblies are being held.
why are they acting like they're so strapped for cash and now holding district assemblies in circuit assemblies locations ?.
@ Done. I remember them using garbage cans on wheels and somehow hiding the bags of money at the bottom of them.
I think they used a small bag of papers to hide the bags of money underneath.

@ doubter. At the time I was a full-in dedicated elder so what I saw was a bunch of empty seats in a large facility. Perhaps there were many roaming the halls, per usual at conventions.
I remember Pontiac Silver Dome and the endless steam of people roaming to God knows where. Probably the same there too. I was tucked away in the money room with the wife and a bunch of others.
Either here nor there, the smaller conventions are a lot easier to attend.
