Reading CoC helped me escape mentally without feeling the guilt. It was a blessing. Without it I may not have been able to leave with such a carefree attitude.

Mom won’t get a blood transfusion with a bc of 7.

My father-in-law is her overseer and I had to let him and my Mother-in-law know what was going on with her because she called and said some nasty things to them recently. I guess mom wanted to do phone territory but wouldn’t meet with her congregation. She asked for some territory and he said no and she got pissed.
Anyhoo they were over recently to see the little one and they asked if mom was ok and I let them know the whole deal with her. They hardly have had contact with her since the wife and I married 20 years ago. The family dynamic is strange.
So the short answer is yes, the elders know that she’s a lying druggie. Not sure if they will do anything about it. Probably not.

Just beyond frustrated with my JW mother. She’s a prescription drug addict. She’s been that way since before I was born. She used to feed me pain drugs when I was a kid. She gave me shingles once when I was a teenager so she could get meds for herself cheap. She’s emotionally manipulative and abusive. She pretends to be a witless but swears like a sailor and keeps her high going all day with the 9 different pain killers she takes. She’s a horrible human being. She is my mother.
I cannot believe that with a blood count of 7 that she will be around for very much longer. She does everything in her power to stay as sick as possible. Sadly the family just doesn’t care anymore. We have tried countless times to get her off the drugs and she just keeps going back. So all her kids have written her off. Sure we make sure she has food and a roof over her head but that’s it. I don’t even bring my daughter over because I can’t trust her to be safe.
Anyways I had a long talk with her about the drugs and her blood count and that her only short term alternative now is a blood transfusion. But she won’t do it. She’s been “faithful for 46 years.” 🤨 Faithful my ass! Shes only doing this so we will feel sorry for her and you know what? I don’t anymore. She’s chose her drugs over her family again! She’s the reason why I won’t take pain meds. I’m deathly afraid I’ll end up like her.
Rant over. Just needed to get this off my chest.

I watched that video last night and just about got sick. Why can’t a kid do good because it’s the right thing to do? There shouldn’t be pressure placed upon kids to do good solely because there is a heavenly audience watching their every move!!! No wonder these kids feel depressed and guilty all the time. One simple mistake means they made a host of people disappointed in them. 😡😡😡

I'm Going to Regular Meetups at LDS Church!

i know some will already be judging me, but hold-on - it maybe even worse than you imagine!.
the group i meet-up with ... don't go inside, we never pray, we, erm, we just hang out in the car-park.. you're thinking "wtf?

Study Watchtower confirms shunning spiritually weak. How nice!

some may be associated with the congregation but may be spiritually weak.
others could be relatives, neighbors, coworkers, or schoolmates who are not worshippers of jehovah.

Wouldn’t the spiritually weak benefit from association with spiritually strong people? Most of “Christendom’s” churches recognize that.🙄

Overwhelmed
by Freedom rocks indoes anyone else feel overwhelmed on what to believe?.
i've been doing lots of research on beliefs, evolution, creationism but i feel no further forward about what i truly believe.
for example i looked at the fossil record and tiktaalic and thought great it proves a lot but then i've seen counter arguments on youtube of people basically saying its a load of rubbish and doesn't prove anything.

Best to conclude, “We don’t really know” and honestly that’s ok!!! You’re allowed to believe whatever you want now. Don’t get stuck trying to find “the truth” or else you’ll just be left at someone’s mercy and basically back at square one.
It’s difficult at first to accept but we will only know if there is life beyond this life when we die so better to live the best you can and be a good person. At least your conscience will be clear before the curtain falls.

First year with baby!

this week marks her one year since her coming home from nicu.
she has been growing and changing so much these last few months in particular.

I wanted to share a few recent pics of Izabella with everyone. This week marks her one year since her coming home from NICU. She has been growing and changing so much these last few months in particular. Her weight was 4LBS 3 OZ when she came home to close to 15 LBS currently. She was a slow gainer for a while but has picked up the pace to over a pound of gains a month. She’s also eating solids three times a day. She is also off the bottle and on to sippy cups.
She is crawling and sitting up on her own and getting into everything. Her temperament is almost always happy and laughing. Many mornings she will wake up laughing for some reason. This all while teething!!! She’s a good baby.
This is the same kid who received multiple blood transfusions of which Watchtower taught us that they were deadly. I know better now and she is the results of that as well as how far science has taken us. Years ago this child probably wouldn’t have made it if not for the scientific achievements of many.
