Bringing children into this System of Things.
by Nihilistic Journey inbefore i left a number of years ago i remember getting bombarded with the message that we shouldn't have children as it wasn't fair to them.
they would have to grow as conditions got worse during the end.
is there anything in the literature or was this just through talks.

Toes, that's awesome you didn't get caught up in all the end times crap and start a family. The wife and I are going to try again in June with the doctors ok.Link +4 / -0 -

The wife and I never planned to have children in "this system". Seeing so many people having kids now makes me happy. I imagine perhaps they see that this world is going to last a long time and they don't want to live a life of regret like many old timer have by not having kids.
People at our current hall feel it is a complete waste of time to have children now seeing as "the end is so close." Sad that they listen to the dribble that comes from watchtower.

AGREE? or DISAGREE? Popular Music
by Terry inhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ip0wuwjbdmi.
"from 1955 till present, popular music has declined to the point where it is now consistently "stupid" and homogenous.

Just as your taste in food changes, so does your taste in music. The music of today is good if that's what you like listening to. Some people like the music of the past and that's ok too.
I have been enjoying some of the latest releases in the death metal music ind.
There is good music out there today it's just a matter of choice.
I think we can all agree though that the new stuff from JW.org is complete 💩.

Kinda wondering with all the weird going on lately if the GB is just getting a good old belly laugh as they watch the sheeple just go along with everything these dummies say?
"Let's tell them that Rubber Face is actually Jesus!" Hehe

Fade question: New Cong or stay.
by Darkknight757 ini have a question with regard to fading.
the wife and i have plans to move to another hall and continue our fade from the organization.
we are already missing quite a few meetings and we are not reporting time.

Yes Lee Elder that is what we are looking into, halls that are at least a half hour away if not more. I was kinda thinking the same thing that they might not be too inclined to visit someone that far away unannounced.Link +2 / -0 -

All great suggestions thanks!!! So I think we will find the fade hall but continue where we are at for the time until the pressure gets too high. That will give us time to find a hall where nobody knows us. Should be fun😊 -

Overlapping gen teaching- Help?
by raven inhi friends,.
can someone please help explain to me the overlapping generations teaching?
i have not been able to grasp this one or what it even applies to?
-

Sadly they miss the point that Jesus was talking TO that generation. It doesn't overlap and there is no second fulfillment.

You make a good point OTWO. Currently I am being pressured and hounded at my current hall but who knows what could happen at a new one. My hope is for lazy elders but one cannot know.
edit: So maybe miss more and more and then if the pressure gets too high then say , "we moved".

Hi ToesUp yea it's a stolen quote from the angry Nintendo nerd on YouTube. He swears like a sailor but is full of silly and funny sayings. He reviews old Nintendo games, primarily the really bad ones, thus he is "angry" lol.Link +2 / -0 -

Sounds good. So new Cong it is. Honestly that will take the pressure off as the eltards at my current hall are waiting for me to get better so I can be a fellow eltard again. I'd rather have a buffalo take a dump in my ear than to do that job again.
I like the suggestion about being out in service at old hall too even know we are many months inactive already. My wife loves having the weekends back!! ( I make a killer breakfast)
Thanks for all the input!
