You know dubstepped, I should load up some of the many ultrasound pics I have π. All these tests have given us a weekly baby pic album.

Baby update and quick hello.
by Darkknight757 ini wanted to take a moment to give a quick baby update.
my last post mentioned that we lost twin b at 17 weeks but twin a is doing well so far.
we are 25 weeks tomorrow and a week past the point of viability so we are starting to get really exited for this new adventure in our lives.

We are really hoping to go full term but there has been some long bone growth concerns. They may take her early if they fell she needs to come. So far we are looking at earliest 27 weeks but if the growth scan goes good then that'll buy us some more time.

I wanted to take a moment to give a quick baby update. My last post mentioned that we lost twin B at 17 weeks but twin a is doing well so far. We are 25 weeks tomorrow and a week past the point of viability so we are starting to get really exited for this new adventure in our lives. We have been busy hitting swaps and mom-to-moms buying the things we need for our little girl.
Because of our past history we decided against a baby shower and might just have a birth celebration after the fact. It seems when we plan, things go wrong so besides planning for our baby's arrival, we are making no other party plans till after. Makes sense to us at least.
My wife's JW mom was going to throw us a shower but because my dad is disfellowshipped, he wouldn't be allowed to come. We don't follow the JW tenants anymore so the thought is just absurd. Better to not rock the boat since she is still talking to us. π
Thats about it for now. I hope everyone is well and has a great summer!!!

Do you think the general public cares about former Jehovah's witnesses?
by Christian Gutierrez ini was wondering if you guys think if the general public cares about our stories or if they even care what the watchtower does to people??
?.

I think those close to us who leave care but the Jehovah's witnesses are insignificant little bunch of oddballs so most could care less. I'm sure they will be happy the day those idiots stop knocking on their doors.

Why "... when it does touch on scientific matters [the Bible] is accurate" is bogus BS.
by Island Man injws and other christians would often point to the handful of the bible verses that seem to be scientifically accurate as evidence of its divine inspiration.
but not surprisingly, they ignore the ones that are scientifically inaccurate, or when they address those verses they put a spin on it like saying the account is not a reflection of what the bible is teaching but what men at the time erroneously believed and which god allowed them to record in the bible.
would you believe a jw actually told me that!

My favorite is Genesis chapter one where god made green vegetation one creative day before the sun. π

Dear brothers: (not sisters, they don't count)
We still have the truth. Loads are coming in. Armageddon is very close. Lots of studies. Carts are posting fine results. Many new Kingdom Halls are needed. God is love.
Your brothers,
The GB.

JUNE 2017 Watchtower - Lost a loved one? Go out in service!
by pale.emperor inapparently going to the kingdom hall and getting out in the door to door ministry is the best way to get over the loss of a loved one.
who'dve thunk it?.

Service works great. All those pioneer sisters we did shepherding calls on certainty thought so. (As they sat there crying because they couldn't figure out why they were so depressed)
They would go in service on the day of a parents/sibling funeral to show how faithful they were. It's absolutely criminal how the organization brainwashes a person into believing that peddling trash paper in some way dispels grief.

Loved reading your story! "Worldly" people are not what the Watchtower says. We also have met many fantastic people outside the org since we left a year ago.
Recently some who have shunned us have tried to reconnect but we know who they are and what they still represent. It's just not worth it.
Keep us posted on your progress please!

And the dumbing down continues...
by NikL inmaybe it's complete in light of this sundays wt study...βwhat you vow, payβ.
it is all about paying your vows and especially focuses on three types.. 1 your dedication vow (baptism).
2 your marriage vow.
