District Assemblies now being held at Circuit Assembly locations?
by ShirleyW ini haven't been to a kh in decades, so i get the google alerts for jws and i got one featuring a local news channel in brooklyn covering the assembly being held in flatbush, brooklyn.
i'm sure that venue is where the circuit assemblies are usually held, keeping in mind it's summer and that's when the district assemblies are being held.
why are they acting like they're so strapped for cash and now holding district assemblies in circuit assemblies locations ?.

@ Done. I remember them using garbage cans on wheels and somehow hiding the bags of money at the bottom of them.
I think they used a small bag of papers to hide the bags of money underneath.

@ doubter. At the time I was a full-in dedicated elder so what I saw was a bunch of empty seats in a large facility. Perhaps there were many roaming the halls, per usual at conventions.
I remember Pontiac Silver Dome and the endless steam of people roaming to God knows where. Probably the same there too. I was tucked away in the money room with the wife and a bunch of others.
Either here nor there, the smaller conventions are a lot easier to attend.

Doubter: Really? It didn’t think it was that well attended. I stand corrected.
I was in charge of the debit machines on the second level. But the times I did sit down in the regular seats it looked as if there were a lot of empty seats.

Yea I think they make more money by having several smaller conventions at facilities that are already paid off than a few very large ones. Most often it seemed that the larger venues were under utilized anyways.
Our last International that I attended at Ford Field in Detroit, Mi was pathetic. Sooo many empty seats. It was hard to miss.
I think too that all the older people can’t handle all the “too do” that comes with a large venue. It’s just way too hard on them physically.

That district assemblies were being held at circuit halls has been going on in my neck of the woods for about 4 years now. Unless it’s an international convention it’s held at the smaller circuit halls.

The wording in this article just kills me. They say that “some Christians will leave their spouse because of abuse” but “Many LOYAL Christians will stay and endure.”
This is criminal, making the abused feel unloyal because they decide to leave an abusive mate. So what do they do? They remain LOYAL by staying in an abusive relationship to make JokeHovah happy. 🤬😡🤬
