when it comes to protecting the perverts, they are no better than the watchtower.. but, i've never heard of any of the catholic victims being ex-communicated (as the pandelo's were from the jw's) or facing the threat of ex-communication (like bill bowen).

last night, besides announcing someone was disf.
and attacks on the catholic church's doctrines, they gave the april report of finances..... their expenses $900 and some... the collections were $500 and some, and they sent $300 and some to wt... they have a $300 some deficit.
they have to pay $12 at the bank; i was wondering if they have bounced a check :-) so.... they have in their pocket $500 and some... they asked to be generous on last night's donations.. there were only few people, half of when i last went three years ago.. circumstances brought me there to be with my daughter last night.. after the meeting, one of the speakers approached me to ask my opinion about a video they were all commenting.... i told him, "why do you want the opinion of a 'worldly person'?
I'm wondering WHY, if they couldn't meet their own expenses, they were sending money to the WBTS?
Because some dubbie stuck the money in the wrong box.
When I was a rising star, I used to help collect the money from the contribution boexes after the meetings. most congregations have at LEAST 4 seperate collection boxes:
1) Worldwide work -- aka "extortion for literature" ; Goes straight to Brooklyn
2) Society's Kingdom Hall Building Fund -- best scam of them all, goes to a seperate account in Brooklyn and then loaned back WITH INTEREST to the locals to build Kingdom Halls.
3) Local Fund -- pays the local recurring expenses (lights, heat, phone, etc.)
4) Local Building Fund -- local money for remodeling and large scale improvements, or for use as downpayment for new Kingdom Hall.
So, there are at least 4 boxes, but the Worldwide work one is usually replicated in several strategic location. With so many boxes, why bother passing around a plate?

got more information recently.. brooklyn bethel is downsizing , bigtime.. first, they are moving a lot of printing out of brooklyn.
and into "regional" branches, perhaps closer to where.
the material is distributed.

heard some inside dope about this too. Went to memorial, and we had a speaker from WT farm who happens who is fairly high up and happens to be a family friend. Don't think he was aware that I'm inactive now. Oh well.
Pretty much said what you said, minus the numbers. Additionally, they are moving ALOT of printing stuff to WT farm from Brooklyn and some people. More stuff than people. Hmmmm.

well, went to one of the sites cited, and found out gold was priced at the cost of production (about 6 months ago around $260 / oz).
invested in a south african gold mining company several months ago.. i've made a hefty profit so far (gold is now over $300 / oz), and i just cashed a chunk of it in.

while i have no love for wt i do know a poorly written law when i see one exp when the mayor is walking around in affect saying: "ww want to keep you people out".
the boys in legal laugh when they see some elective dude say some off the cuff remark like that.
