JW TV is the reason for the hysteria in the KH
by campaign of hate inif you, like me, have noticed the sudden increase in hysteria in the khs right now, i put it down to that jw tv site.
its's far more extensive than i thought it was, i thought it was just 1, 1 hour program a month.
there's a s*** load of videos on that site.. and the real problem, from just watching a clip from each video, is that these guys are clearly "mentally unstable".

UFCFan: if you're not already, don't get baptized to go through the motions.
Say you love Jehovah, want to dedicate your life to him, but want to make sure the desires incidental to youth don't cause you to stumble and displease your God. That will put them off for another year or two.
Then, you could always tell them you touched a girls boob at school and that's why you don't feel right get baptized. You want to have a "clean conscience" before Jehovah.
there are many ways to deal with it and put it off.

Did You Know Any Bad JWs?
by minimus inover the years, i knew some individuals that were pretty bad witnesses.
they broke more commandments that most.

I was "bad" sometimes. But so were some of my friends.
But looking back, we were just young trying to spread our wings and fly.
As an adult, though, I cuss occasionally, drink a ton (rarely get "drunk" though), betray my neutrality by getting mad at that retard in the white house, Obama, and lie on my FS report.
But, from what I've seen in a lifetime of being in this organization, that doesn't really make me a bad JW. It really makes me a typical JW.

Maybe Jesus watched Fat Sick and Nearly Dead and happened to have a juicer and plenty of Kale with him.
The guy on that show did a 60 day fast.

...But for some reason I'm drawn to this particular sect.
"You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink."

Just ask simple questions and make street witnesses move along
by OnTheWayOut inyou don't have to know much to talk to jw's and show them they don't want to really discuss the matters.they consider a discussion on the matter they are pushing to be "confrontational.".

It is also worth noting that had the Witnesses asked him to stop filming and he continued he should be charged with harassment under the Protection from Harassment Act 1997.
The Apostate agenda is a mission from God. "We must obey GOD as ruler rather than men."

Elders in Spain Steal Millions from Congregation
by cappytan inthese men are appointed by holy spirit,.
here is the source: http://www.economiadigital.es/es/notices/2015/01/la-fiscalia-imputa-una-estafa-de-mas-de-170-millones-de-euros-a-una-congregacion-de-testigos-de-jeho-65161.php.
basically, if you don't know spanish, it boils down to this: (my personal editorial of what i've read).

From the article: The events date back to 2001...
That much money could very well have been bilked over that long of a period.
170,000,000 / 13 = 13,076,923 per year.
13,076,923 / 1,300 = 10,000 +/- average.
Factor in that perhaps there were some brothers that were exorbitantly richer than others and may have contributed large sums of money, or there may have been folks that died that had the "hospital" fund as their life insurance beneficiary.
Regardless, it seems plausible for this to be true.
If it is true, I'm sure there will be more said about it and more will come out.

EDIT: Well, took me a while to do the math, and during that time, y'all ended up saying the same things.

Simon said: Wow, that's quite a sizeable conspiracy - not just 2 or 3 in a single congregation.
Just re-read the article.Loose translation:
...more than 170 million euros collected, based on false promises, among more than 1,300 members throughout Spain.
This may very well have been on a circuit-wide level.

These men are appointed by Holy Spirit,
Here is the source: http://www.economiadigital.es/es/notices/2015/01/la-fiscalia-imputa-una-estafa-de-mas-de-170-millones-de-euros-a-una-congregacion-de-testigos-de-jeho-65161.php
Basically, if you don't know Spanish, it boils down to this: (my personal editorial of what I've read)
A group of 14 elders, under false pretenses, asked the congregation for donations to build a bloodless hospital in Spain that wouldn't commit the sin of administering blood transfusions.
From the article, I can't tell if it's 14 elders in one congregation or 14 elders combined from several congregations.
However, the article states that they collected over 170 million Euros. (The equivalent of over 190 million dollars at today's exchange rate.)
They then spirited away some 80 million of the funds to banks in Switzerland.
...............
LURKERS: Wouldn't Jehovah read these brothers heart condition before appointing them through his Holy Spirit? Think about that the next time you talk about how wonderful your elders are.
------------
EDIT: Just a side thought, 190 million dollars could pay for a lot of "needed" Kingdom Halls.
