Are we not thankful to Odin for this food at the proper time? Praised may he be! I can't wait for Odin to destroy all the witnesses and then carry us off to Valhalla! -

I could be wrong, and I'm by no means an expert (yet) on evolution. However, I believe that there is no such thing as "new genetic material."
From what I understand, Genes are like switches. They're either turned on or turned off.
Take this with a grain of salt. My understanding could be incorrect as I'm not an expert on the subject.
But I am working on it. Starting my Biology degree this summer!

Interesting video debunks Watchtower's "Things are getting worse" speak
by Zoos incan't say too much without spoiling the ending.
but this entire video is very interesting as it highlights wwii and puts the death toll in visual perspective.. https://vimeo.com/128373915.

Goes to show that WWII was an anomaly. WWI wasn't nearly as deadly as the other wars of the 19th century and before. -

Oh Millie! No, I wasn't feeling bad about your comment.
i just wanted to clarify for the record that my motives were to engage in a frank discussion without passing judgement on the OP.

My comment above was based on the OP conclusion. Though I don't believe in God, the comment made came from my heart assuming the conclusion in the OP was true.
Preach to the choir all you want. But if you truly want to strengthen your faith, you would welcome questions and criticism. If your faith cannot stand up to criticism or questioning, what good is it to begin with?

By “evolution,” we mean “macroevolution”—apes turning into humans, for example.
by FadingTruth inaugust 2015 awake .
quote in title taken from article footnote.. anyone have information on who gene hwang and yan-der hsuuw in the article are?.
why do they repeatedly state that apes turned to humans when that's not what evolutionists teach at all?.

SimonSays - "Whereas the assertion of Christian brothers only applies to people that have not become complacent in their beliefs which reflects worlds apart from true understanding by which I associate with."
Can someone translate this into English?Sure! Here you go:
SimonSays: "Although I defend the JW organization every chance I get, I still come on to websites forbidden by the Governing Body and thus am as disloyal to the organization as the next apostate. Cheers!" -

Cappytan, no joke your post made me smile. I remember when you first started posting about your doubts and now here you are, a staunch evolutionist. Awesome, keep it up.
It's amazing what cracking open an actual Science book and examining the available evidence itself will do for you.

Microevolution happens on a small scale (within a single population), while macroevolution happens on a scale that transcends the boundaries of a single species. Despite their differences, evolution at both of these levels relies on the same, established mechanisms of evolutionary change: mutation.
There is no distinction between microevolution and macroevolution. There is just evolution.
What you are referring to as "microevolution" is from generation to generation. Give "microevolution" a few million generations, and you'll see species completely change. (i.e. some dinosaurs evolving into birds)
Evolution also has absolutely NOTHING to do with explaining the "origin of life." It explains speciation. And it has the evidence and data to back it up. Which is why it is a THEORY and not a hypothesis.
The concept of a creator has absolutely no basis in fact or evidence whatsoever.
