Here's why I'm going to use the code, regardless of whether 5% goes to Watchtower:
I need a new Roku, and I sure as hell could use the 20% discount.

re: discount on roku devices.
dear brothers:.
Here's why I'm going to use the code, regardless of whether 5% goes to Watchtower:

You know, setting up a site eerily similar to JW-dot-org that has this sort of thing might be an idea (maybe have its server in another country to avoid legal)...
I've thought about designing a PirateBox landing page to look just like JW-dot-org, but have TTATT articles instead of the actual website.
It's pretty devious to do that.
There are pros and cons.
wifibandit knows what I'm talking about.
i always sit in the same spot, just outside starbucks in a vestibule area with a table in the air-conditioned space.
i say "always," but not today.. somebody with two laptops and a table filled with business ledgers was in "my" favorite spot!.
so, i took a tiny wooden table inside the coffee shop on a long padded bench next to 3 other identical tables.. as the clickbait banner ads like to say: "and what happened next was simply unbelievable!".

i was very hooked on the rc videos, really interesting to watch.
i started questioning stuff a couple of months ago.. however there is still a scenario that makes me wonder.
considering the israelites as god's chosen people and the kings as anointed, the bible shows many bad decisions the people made, including the rulers that were anointed.
That is why when I started researching I considered that if what I believe is true, nothing can shake that, research would just convince me even more. However I found reasons to doubt and question even those things I once firmly believed and wholeheartedly defended in front of many of my non-JW friends/colleagues.
You are on the right path.
At a certain point, you're going to have to be okay with not knowing all of the answers to life's big questions. The organization tells us that all the existential questions we come up with have answers in their teachings. Unfortunately, this means that if you find out there are flaws in their teachings, you can have some really upsetting and panicky thoughts.
I remember a switch flipping where I was okay with having some questions unanswered.
When you get to that point, it's easier to examine evidence objectively.
so i was fooled by the witnesses.
what can i learn from that?
not to accept things at face value but to seek out opinion and different view points.. hence my question " do you believe man landed on the moon?.
This idea to me is absurd, especially to call it common sense
You're right. The idea that it was easier to land on the moon than to fake it isn't common sense. But it's true.
In the context of the time, rocket technology was far far ahead of film technology. It was technologically impossible to fake the moon landing in 1969. But it was technologically possible to land on the moon. Armed with just that knowledge alone, you can make the logical conclusion that the moon landing wasn't fake.
Now, the only reason this conclusion doesn't qualify as common sense is because the technology disparity isn't common knowledge.
In the context of technology today, it would be easier to fake the moon landing. But we aren't talking about today. We're talking about 1969.
i had this said to me the other day by a jw who is fully brain washed.
it gave me shivers to think is that really how the r&f perceive the gb?
amid all the talking about the rc, the wt is releasing a new video:.
to all bodies of elders.
re: became so beloved video and event media document type.
so i was fooled by the witnesses.
what can i learn from that?

Wow, that's an utterly douchy jackass thing to say.
Viv: granted, it was really only the last half of the last sentence that contained any jackassery.
But I only feel that way because I'm sensitive to the subject of suicide. If I had never experienced anything first hand related to suicide, it may not have bothered me as much as it did.
so i was fooled by the witnesses.
what can i learn from that?

I'm just gonna leave this here.
This explains why it was technologically impossible to fake the moon landing in 1969.
