My thoughts on the RC 2015
by StarTrekAngel inhaving endured three days of dashing attempts at further indoctrination, i feel the need to write up some of the stuff i left with.
it is just good therapy.. right away the change was noticeable in the air.
the assembly hall in la feria, tx still smells like new.

Is it possible that the reason it wasn't used in 2014 was because of the special mega-conventions they had last year? Reliant Stadium? -

Anti-JW billboard going up in Texas
by sunny23 inthe first ever billboard has been crowd funded on reddit and will be going up.
i'm curious to know if it will cause a spark in any jw's who already have questions or doubts and lead them to research into the child abuse cases and lead them to the thought that the wt and gb are not inspired or gods mouthpiece.
at the very least it will provide people a topic of conversation and questions to the jw's who knock on their door: "so whats this whole sex abuse in kingdom halls thing about i saw on the billboard down the road?

From the October Study edition of the Watchtower:
Social networking, texting, circulating e-mails, and frequently checking the latest news and sports events can also waste our time and can even become an obsession. * (Eccl. 3:1, 6) If we do not limit the amount of time we spend on nonessential things, we may find ourselves neglecting the most important activity of all—our worship of Jehovah

I went to the La Feria assembly hall once, hated it with a passion.
They installed absolutely zero diaper changing stations in the men's restroom. There wasn't one in the family restroom either.
I told the caretaker that they were sexist not to have those. "So my wife has to change the diapers and miss out on the convention parts because you think husbands don't need to help out? That's messed up."

Chewing tobacco or smoking cigars is safer than smoking cigarettes. But that doesn't mean there's no risk associated with it. It's like the distinction between bungee jumping and skydiving. One is technically safer than the other, but it still doesn't mean it's "safe."
I vape. If you have control over what goes into your ejuice, it can be pretty safe. And not all that vape inhale. There is still some transference of nicotine in your mouth.

There was a mention of it in the mags. Although it was only in the footnote of an article on smoking.
Smoking here refers to inhaling tobacco smoke directly from cigarettes, cigars, pipes, or water pipes. However, the principles discussed apply equally to the use of chewing tobacco, snuff, electronic cigarettes that contain nicotine, and other products.
Here is the article:

The Bible is NOT Error-Free
by FusionTheism infor many christians, the bible is viewed as the 100% error-free, perfect book straight from god, where every single word was carefully chosen by god for a reason.
but, usually, when you have a discussion on the topic, these christians will end up saying that only the original copies written directly from the hands of the prophets and apostles were error-free, and all manuscript copies since then are subject to copyist mistakes and other errors.. since zero original copies are in existence, how do we know the originals were error-free?
why should we think the originals should be error-free to begin with?

Really.......
The morality found uniquely in the bible is THIS verse.......
Galatians 3:28New International Version (NIV)
28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus....they are all one in Christ Jesus. If you're not in Christ Jesus, you are an infidel worthy of execution for just beleiving differently.

There is no way to step down or get deleted without setting off alarm bells.
But, stepping down, although will lead to "love bombing" at first, isn't that big of a deal. You'll still be in "good standing" with the congregation.
People will want to know why. You need to start laying the foundation in their minds that you're having anxiety problems.
Then, the night of your next part, tell the brother you're having a panic attack and can't give it.
Once that happens, you could then say, "Brothers, I need to get help for my anxiety. I'm seeing a therapist at the moment and it is helping. But right now, I don't think I can handle the pressure my privileges create. I am stepping down immediately."
