4. The then President of the New York Stock Exchange, Richard Whitney, was sent to jail.
5. The President of the Bank of International Settlement, Leon Fraser, committed suicide.
6. One of the greatest commodity traders (Wheat Speculator), Arthur Cutten, died insolvent.
7. The greatest “bear” on Wall Street, Jesse Livermore committed suicide.
8. The member of the US President’s Cabinet (the member of President Harding's cabinet), Albert Fall, was pardoned from jail just to be able to go home and die in peace.
9. The President of the then world’s greatest monopoly, Ivar Krueger, committed suicide.
See how soon they all changed their faith in money—how disillusioned they were! If this can happen to faith in mammon, one can imagine what will happen to faith in Evolution theory after some time. You will all look for God, and will throw away your books on Evolution.

So, you still didn't answer my question. What books on the science behind Evolution have you read that allow you to form a qualified opinion on it?

Humans did not evolve from present-day apes. Rather, humans and apes share a common ancestor that gave rise to both.

There is no such thing as a "missing link."

Your evolution theory cannot explain how something immaterial evolved from something material.

That's because evolution doesn't touch on that subject. Evolution is the evidence based method of speciation. Abiogenesis is the study of how life began. Two different branches of science.

What books on evolution have you read, other than JW publications?

This is true with the exception of child abuse cases which are retained indefinitely. So records of child abuse is not being destroyed. However getting those records to court is another thing altogether.

Why aren't people getting this? Why is this checklist being used to push the narrative of them trying to cover up child abuse? It's extremely disingenuous and can be used to discredit all other evidence the exJW community has on the subject!

Ad hominem - bypassing the argument by launching an irrelevant attack on the person and not their claim.

Those attorney's certainly don't think the BOE is "over-sensationalizing things"! They consider that BOE as an admission of guilt!

Appeal to Authority - claiming that because an authority thinks something, it must therefore be true.

"The above is your opinion! Others feel quite different than you do!"

Relativist Fallacy - rejecting a claim because of a belief that truth is relative to a person or group.

"The important fact is that the Watchtower is giving elders instructions to destroy evidence. No matter where it is taking place, the Watchtower is still trying to cover-up child abuse and save their butts in court, Period!"

Affirming the Consequent - assuming there's only one explanation for the observation you're making.

I think leaks are important for the apostate cause. Keep up the good work.

However, the significance of this checklist is being seriously overblown by some apostates. There are many many more documents that are far more incriminating than this checklist. Let's concentrate on those!

For me, the only reason the leak of this checklist has any significance is because someone is inside leaking information that the society wants to remain confidential. That in itself is a victory.

How is this an admission of guilt, when the checklist specifically states that things pertaining to child molestation are handled differently?

Jesus Christ, people. Use the rational side of your brain!

It is common practice for elders to purge their personal notes from time to time. My dad did so every year for 30+ years. And you know what? It's probably a good thing he did so too, because I snooped once or twice when I was a kid and saw embarrassing things about others in the congregation that should have remained private.

This whole non-story reminds me of Fox News making a big deal out of what Michelle Obama ate for breakfast or something.

Also, "millions of people" agree with flipper? I seriously doubt this document has been downloaded or viewed more than 100,000 times.

Perhaps you meant that millions of people would agree with Flipper?

My Explanation of God.

i am a theist & this is my version of god.. instead of using the term god, i'll use "unseen presence".. this unseen presence, is perfect in every way.

this presence is so perfect it can seem a bit boring.this perfection can be seen in the laws of science, for example gravity.. it does not sometimes work, depending on the mood of some one in the sky, it always works, perfectly.

gravity does not get angry and decide to stop working, and cause the death of innumerable living beings, it just works, through thick or thin, it is reliable.. what allows this unseen presence to remain perfect, is the fact that it does not act based on emotion, or strategy or regret.. it acts based on law, mathematical law.. this unseen presence is not partial to jews or muslims or jw's it is completely impartial at all times, to everything that exists.

Does it matter WHERE? The important fact is that the Watchtower is giving elders instructions to destroy evidence. No matter where it is taking place, the Watchtower is still trying to cover-up child abuse and save their butts in court, Period!

I'm pretty sure they're required to destroy these notes by the Data Protection Act. Child Abuse evidence is handled with the blue envelopes and is exempt from these rules, if I recall from another thread.

Let's not over-sensationalize things for the sake of controversy. There is plenty of other evidence that the society tries to cover things up. At worst, this document is a thin thread of evidence of ill intent and lurkers may see this and ignore the rest of the evidence because of the overreaction on our part.

Lets deal with hard, tangible evidence...like the ARC evidence. It's a waste of time to blow this document out of proportion when the support for it having anything to do with child abuse is tenuous.

When we hurt another person, we feel bad. - We shouldn't hurt people.
When we lie to another person, we feel wrong - We Shouldn't Lie.
When we overindulge in mostly anything, we feel bad - We should practice moderation.
When we impose our Beliefs on another person, that person doesn't like being around us - We shouldn't impose our view on others.
All that we need to know, we already know.. We just need to Slow Down, and quiet our minds.

Who is "we"? I know people that hurt other people and don't feel bad. I know people that lie to other people and don't feel bad. I know people that overindulge in things and don't give a flying f*ck. I know people that impose their beliefs on other people, and some of those other people let it happen and enjoy it. I know people that need to know more than what they already know.

So again, I ask, who is this "we" you're talking about? Do you have a mouse in your pocket?
