Warwick Polution
by scotoma inhas there been any discussion about why jehovah would guide his people to a polluted property to build their world headquarters?
-
cappytan
Tuxedo is not the site for the world headquarters. It is a staging ground for the world headquarters construction in Warwick. -

Living with Islam
by fulltimestudent inindonesia is a large nation to the north of australia.
more than 250 million people live there, and around 204 million (88%) are muslim.
the indonesian armed forces have nearly a million personnel, either as active servicemen or reservists.. australia, with a population of 23 million, and an armed forces of 80,000 (active and reservist), has no choice but to live in co-operation with indonesia, though the relationship is sometimes strained.

Are you equally convinced that Judeo-Christianity should die as well?
No, Judeo-Christianity should just silently fall asleep and fade to non-existence. Islam should die.
I don't care about the history of the different religions. I care about right now. And the way it stands right now, Islam should f*cking die in a fire.

Islam needs to die. It has no place in modern society.

Luke 14:28-30 - "For example, who of you wanting to build a tower does not first sit down and calculate the expense to see if he has enough to complete it? Otherwise, he might lay its foundation but not be able to finish it, and all the onlookers would start to ridicule him, saying: ‘This man started to build but was not able to finish.’" -

JW message becoming more and more relevant
by lsw1961 inmans requirements are limited which can be satisfied with a little and tension-free endeavor..
however man attempts not only to collect but also to grab and amass everything to the excess.
somehow he feels that he can be happy only when he has in abundance whereas others have nothingwhich seems to be the thread that runs throughout the history.

Shouldn't there currently be so-called missing links in the amounts that there are apes currently and shouldn’t what has died off be the apes and we would be wondering what humans were like prior to the so-called missing link (apes) instead of wondering what humans were after apes???
There is no such thing as a "missing link."
Missing link is a colloquial term, not a scientific term. In Science, there are things referred to as transitional fossils. These are fossils that show a stage of evolution.
There are many, many, many transitional fossils. Just google "evidence for evolution" and you'll find plenty of information.
All of us are transitional species. There wasn't one point in time where an ape grunted, and suddenly gave birth to the first human. It's a gradual change over a long period of time. It's not like flipping a light switch.
This is why I encourage you to read actual books on evolution instead of just regurgitating creationist talking points. Then, you can see what the science of evolution truly states, and you can then make an informed decision on whether to decide to accept the huge body of evidence in favor of it or go back to bronze age creation stories.

I like to read what other people believe.
I suggest The Blind Watchmaker and The Selfish Gene if you're looking for some informative books on the subject of evolution and would like to know the science and facts involved.
People that have researched evolution don't "believe" in it. They just have examined the evidence and realize the fact of the matter.

Who would you vote for Today?
by James Mixon ind. trump or h. clinton and why.. i would vote for gun slinging trump..
-

I have a huge distaste for both of them.
Fiscally, I think Trump would be the better choice.
Foreign Policy-wise, I would pick Hilary. Not because she's strong on foreign policy. But because Trump is too much of a hot-head.

You ask “What books on evolution have you read, other than JW publications?”
The tone behind this question shows that you are very confident about truthfulness of Evolution Theory. Your confidence reminds me about same sort of confidence some great people displayed in 1923.
In that year, nine of the wealthiest people in the world met at Chicago's Edgewater Beach Hotel. Their combined wealth, it is estimated, exceeded the wealth of the Government of the United States at that time.
These men certainly knew how to make a living and accumulate wealth.
Attending the meeting were the following men:
1. The President of the largest steel company,
2. The President of the largest utility company,
3. The President of the largest gas company,
4. The President of the New York Stock Exchange,
5. The President of the Bank of International Settlements,
6. The greatest wheat speculator,
7. The greatest bear on Wall Street,
8. A member of President Harding's cabinet.
9. The head of the World's greatest monopoly
That's a pretty impressive line-up of people by anyone's yardstick.
Yet, let’s examine what happened to them 25 years later:
1. The President of the then largest steel company (Bethlehem Steel Corp), Charles M Schwab lived on borrowed capital for five years before he died bankrupt.
2. The President of the largest utility company, Samuel Insull, died penniless!
3. The President of the then largest gas company, Howard Hubson, went insane.
4. The then President of the New York Stock Exchange, Richard Whitney, was sent to jail.
5. The President of the Bank of International Settlement, Leon Fraser, committed suicide.
6. One of the greatest commodity traders (Wheat Speculator), Arthur Cutten, died insolvent.
7. The greatest “bear” on Wall Street, Jesse Livermore committed suicide.
8. The member of the US President’s Cabinet (the member of President Harding's cabinet), Albert Fall, was pardoned from jail just to be able to go home and die in peace.
9. The President of the then world’s greatest monopoly, Ivar Krueger, committed suicide.
See how soon they all changed their faith in money—how disillusioned they were! If this can happen to faith in mammon, one can imagine what will happen to faith in Evolution theory after some time. You will all look for God, and will throw away your books on Evolution. So, you still didn't answer my question. What books on the science behind Evolution have you read that allow you to form a qualified opinion on it?

If we came from apes then why are there still apes??? Why haven’t they evolved??? And why is it that the so-called missing link is not in existence but apes are???
Humans did not evolve from present-day apes. Rather, humans and apes share a common ancestor that gave rise to both.
There is no such thing as a "missing link."
I ask you the same question as lsw1961: What books on the science of evolution have you read that allow you to form a qualified opinion on it?

Your evolution theory cannot explain how something immaterial evolved from something material.
That's because evolution doesn't touch on that subject. Evolution is the evidence based method of speciation. Abiogenesis is the study of how life began. Two different branches of science.
What books on evolution have you read, other than JW publications?
