After 17 years, I went to a KH....really shocked!!
by Prometheus inafter severe pressure from my family, i have decided to attend to the nearest kh.
and a little history regarding my self: i became inactive and lost completely contact of the wt changes and "new light" 17 years ago.. everything seemed so odd and strange during the meeting.
latest technology, animated movies, watchtower web tv, a website that you can download everything, including km and wt study articles.

by macys ini am at work talking to a current jdub and i am making progress (i think) with her and right now the theme is education.
she says that the wt no longer looks down on education and is claiming that the wt no longer says we are close to the end!

I almost died laughing at the meeting last night. OMG WTF is going on? Have I been away this long?
by macys inok so most of you guys know already that i am going through the reinstatement process for my parents but i do have a partially sinister plan which i will not mention here since someone told me that there are b-lites that read boards like this.
last night and it was the funniest experience i have ever seen.
besides that the brother doing the sound and video screwed up the whole thing when showing the videos and it took 3 brothers to fix it after 10 minutes, the whole thing was a joke.

i think the main reason Watchtower is using animated and/or silhouette characters in videos is because they don't want to put actors onscreen that later on go "apostate". Hence we see very high-level persons used for broadcasts. At this point Watchtower does not know who it can really trust to be around 3-5 years from now.
I wouldn't be a bit surprised if this was the reasoning.

Stories of "Miracles"

she was my supervisor.
we liked having discussions on god and the bible.

Here's another one I remember a JW telling me.
They told me they were going door to door. They were working with a specific brother. They made sure to tell me they were with this particular brother to make it almost unimpeachable since this brother wasn't considered one of the insane ones of the congregation.
They call on this house, and the guy is having a good conversation about the kingdom. They ask to sit down on the porch. The brother goes over to a rocking chair on the porch and the householder says, "That's where Jerry [some name, can't remember] sits."
The brother chuckled but sat down anyway. The minute he sat down, he got pushed by some invisible entity from behind and went face first into the flower bed over the rail of the porch.
Come to find out, this "Jerry" or whatever his name was was a dead relative of the householder.
"There was definitely a demon in that house, Cappy."
I believed this bullshit story. -

Here's one from outside the org.
Years ago, I worked with this lady. She was my supervisor. We liked having discussions on God and the Bible. I was counting my time, of course.
Turns out, she studied for like 4 years with the Witnesses. I asked her why she stopped studying. It had to do with some drama with her husband and the lady that was studying with her. (He slept with the Pioneer, lol!)
Anyways, she attended the Assembly of God church at that point and gushed over it all the time.Thinking I could get her back in the cult, I asked her what made her think that the church was the truth and had God's blessing.
She proceeds to tell me a story about how she was thinking of leaving the church for another, but prayed earnestly to God and decided to attend one more time. While she was there, she said that during a hymn an angel appeared in bright shining golden robes with a trumpet and flew around the room blowing the trumpet throughout the song and that everyone witnessed it.
I wanted to tell her it was a demon, but decided since she was my supervisor I should keep my mouth shut.In retrospect, we were both insane. lol
What kind of crazy "miracle" stories have you heard? JW or otherwise? -

Slim nd Cofty are both right.....
by The Rebel ini haven't had anything to contribute for a while so i have been lurking, which is a pleasant pastime.. anyway i have really enjoyd slimboyfats way of thinking, and i don't think such thinking needs discharge from the mental asylum.
i guess i am out of ammunition to argue with coftys may i say more rational thinking.. so whilst i find it difficult to refute what cofty says, i also find slimboyfats thinking refreshing, and that's why i say they are both right.
maybe a better explanation would be i once worshipped an organisation which was referred to as " mother" and it wrapped me up in baby diapers.. as far as i am concerned both slim and cofty are independent thinkers, no longer controlled by the insane thinking and rhetoric of other people.

Who thinks Wt is going to throw Vincent Tool under the bus if he loses his law registration.

who thinks vincent tool, if looses his law license and becomes less useful to wt that he will then be reassigned to the field.
or is he just to big of a player to lose even with out a practicing law license.
