"This doesn't mean of course that I will allow posts of an obvious apostate nature or those that are abusive." - Simon
Now this was 12 years ago. I dont know if Simon had ever noticed but things are no longer under control by the above statemant :D Could anyone summarize what just happened here in this 13 years?
I thought that JWN was launched by exJws. When was the turning point? When did people on here started viewing this site as an exJw discussion forum rather than a jw forum? I have a lot of question so any additional information is welcomed.
Thank you

Tiny procedural change
by Caminante insince i have my own software to track pdf publication uploads and changes on jw.org and simplify publication downloads, i looked behind the reasons why certain publications had been updated this last month (first the know the truth tract in hungarian which i knew of it didn't have any recent textual revisions, and then bible teach book, which had suffered a further update the picture on page 3 was replaced).
i noticed one little procedural change, which 99 percent of the witnesses won't even notice, but the publications printed since the start of this service year no longer have "all rights reserved" on the publishers' page.
first i thought it was a mistake, but it's for real.

Are you hungarian, caminante? Anyways.. about the bible teaching book: i noticed long before that in the chapter that deals with the soul topic they changed the candle picture too. First it was a distinguished candle with smoke (very suggestive). The present pricture is without the smokes. When they published the book I also thought "what if the student says that the smoke could represent the inmortal soul".

What was your "Aha!" moment?
by Hortenzie infor me it was when i learned that gb makes their decisions by 2/3 majority vote, not by direction of holy spirit..

My first doubts arised when I noticed that the new testament uses the name "Jehovah" a very few times. Then I read an autobiography of a former Budapest bethel member who actually was in the NWT hungarian translation team.
I couldn't define an aha moment though.

Anyone using AVON products? You should include an apology next time you pray to your heavenly father because in hebrew it means perversity. :))

So I got in college recently (Petroleum engineering), which is 150+ miles away from my home town. I started to go to the meetings once in a while to please my parents because I hate lieing to them, although I did several times regarding meetings.
Last time an elder - special pioneer - came to me at the hall and asked me if I had already thought about transfering my 'files' aka. publisher card to that congregation. I told them that for the present I don't want it to happen. However my parents are insisting and , I hate the fact, but I still need their financial support.
If I do nothing my former congregation will always know that I became inactive, which is not good. What are your thoughts?
I also apologize for not being that active member of the community. I had a lot of exams at high school which involved a lot of stress, had to fight my war with my parents and elders, relatives who all think I am getting eaten by the roaring lion of this world. I also find it very hard to pick up the "wordly" life style, this org just screwed up my entire personality and now I find myself unadaptable in this outer world.

Will The Noah Movie Wake Some Up to TTATT?
by jw07 inthe trailer for the noah blockbuster has been released (even superman and thor are more believable myths).. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=frtlt3deydu.
many jws on my facebook page are clamoring to go see it believe it or not.
others are pointing out the 'inconsistencies' with watchtower doctrine.. having something visualized and plainly layed out before you is useful when dealing with unthinking persons.. do you think that seeing it will help some jws to crtitically think about things they have read and glossed over?

It seems exciting. I still feel attacked when the script is differs a lot from the way Bible describes the story. "Indoctrination I guess" - DATA-DOG

Brainstorming about something that all of us would be interested in
by will-be-apostate ini started to feel this kind of devotion when someone comes to the conclusion that the ultimate goal of his life is to make this cult disappear from the history.. so, i`ve been thinking, how could we yes guys, we, ordinary people complete such kind of project.. why dont we make an organization against them?
we could maintain it from donations, maybe start printing our own magazines about how they are misguiding people.we definitely should sign up for google adwords to advertise anti-jw sites.we need to draw attention on the facts that we have luckily come to know.
these are some of what crossed my mind during the recent weeks.
