Hi snare&racket. I agree on what you've just written above. Btw, you're also from the UK, aren't you?
Thank you for posting, you are all great people, you really encourage me and are giving me the kind of support I won't get from my family.
hi, my apostate friends.. a couple of weeks ago i asked for some advice regarding studying methods.
then some of you asked me to let you know my score after i take the exam at mineralogy.. i scored 90%.
i'm pretty happy with it because the exams i take are not in my native language.. if i keep up with the good scores i might get a scholarship and then bye bye watchtower society.

i've read on another thread you need to delete the cached file of the profile picture so that it can be updated by the gravatar user.
i created a gravatar account, added the email address i use on here and uploaded the an image, but nothing happens.
this was 3 days ago.. could you please solve this problem?.

As a sidenote, if you don't have time to develop the site further I would gladly help you out. Implementing a profile picture uploader and changer is not that hard nor time consuming.
Thank you in advance

He is a chemical engineer from the UK working at a nuclear plant. He discusses topics like feminism, ridicules hoaxes and mostly famous for his "Why do people laugh at creationists?" series. I highly recommend this last playlist.
This one mainly consists of amatuer cartoons that present the logical controversies that the judeo-hebraic god's existence implies. I recommend the video God's God from his channel.
This is an american youtuber who argues about a wide variety of topics: human nature, atheism, cretionists, morality, ongoing events in the world, global warming etc. He is also a writer, published a few books. Sometimes he is very annoying - in an entertaining way - and acts immature, in my opinion, however usually makes some good points in his videos.
There are certainly other great channels on youtube, I didn't had the time to examine them though. I must say that I don't always agree with these three either but they might be an eye opener for some jws if they could watch some of those videos.
What YouTube channels are you subscribed to in this category? I'm waiting for your suggestions.
i don't mean you advised them and they changed their lives around, kind of saving a life.. i mean right before your eyes, right now, you had to do something to save a person or they would be dead.. how did it make you feel?
did it have any affect on you?.
forty years ago i was working on a construction site and a back-hoe had loosened a large boulder.
Where is snare&racket? I think he has the highest rates of saving lifes.
It's amazing how much we can learn about each other from these kind of posts.
I didn't save anyone's life yet, luckily, not even from jw perspective.

Oubliette, dude is the proper word and thank you btw.
Quandry, exactly my thoughts. Freedom is priceless and I'm living every minute of it.
Thank you guys and girls for your kind words.
someone suggested i post an introductory thread.
i am a married, rather young grandma of four precious rugrats, ages 2-9. i guess our only child son and his only child wife didn't want their own kids to be "onlies".
my other half and i married rather young (18 &22) and will be celebrating 31 years together this summer.. i am sort of add, keep thinking i am still 28, love my husband now more than ever, and am so glad i woke up and left the crazy cult.. my husband and i began studying months after marrying and then decided to take the dunk.
HI and welcome aboard It's great to read that you successfully get out including your family members. As MissFit said it is indeed inspiring, we don't hear everyday such stories.
Congratulations on getting published! Could you give us the title of your series?
Tootires2care, GoT fan here!

i figured when people read this that there will be those claiming proof of the flood story.
James Brown no amount of hidrostatic pressure could supply the necessary mechanisms to make a mountain. Plate tectonics is the best theory scientists could come up with so far and explains perfectly how mountains form. Plate tectonics needs huge amount of time to produce observable (for the naked eye) changes in the environment. The question is could the increased pressure applied on these plates result in high mountains in a very short time period?
The mechanism that makes these plates move is totally different than that of an increased pressure applied to a surface. You make a quick research on plate tectonics so that you can see yourself that the flood couldn't make those mountains.
Shirley, do you happen to know of a youtube video that answers this question too? :D

@Pams girl: nah, i'm taking this day off, will watch a movie and skip the meeting (evil laugh), but tomorrow I'll back into studying; i'm not done with the finals yet. But this one was the hardest, the other subjects are pieces of cake.
Thanks jgnat for the link.

Yes, yes, the inevitable question: "how did the kangoroo cross the ocean?".
Shirley, thanks for the link, it's bookmark material. The calculation's are actually pretty simple. You can't argue with Ken Ham though.

I also hope somebody will finally calculate how much water was needed to fill up the Earth till the Mount Everest. They say there were no such high mountains before the flood but stating that a world wide flood made the Himalaya is just absurd.
Such huge amount of water can't just disappear. Anyway, I'm just saying it's not that bloody simple as they might think.
