  We are going back to the Kingdom Hall.....

  well, after one year of dissociating ourselves, my wife an i are going back to the kingdom hall!

  no, we dont want back in.

  a very dear friend has passed away (she happened to be the wife of our po).

  Escargot,
  I'm sorry for what you must be feeling, To have someone in the org. to reach out is too far and few in-between. She must have been a wonderful person, (a true Christian) having unconditional love, another thing that is too far and few in the org.

  I too will have to attend a funeral in the next few days and know that it will not be the man remembered but a message (how sad) Know that by your attendance that it will also be one of unconditional love, (knowing that you have learned what the org. is all about and going any ways) you are setting a fine example.

  No matter how you are received you are going for the right reasons as a remembrance of the person.

  I will be thinking of you and your wife and your loss.

  i thought this was an interesting article that showed even the most "saintly" people struggle with their belief in god.

  i've always respected this woman and the work that she did.

  some interesting stats: the missionaries of charity, which she started, feeds 500,000 families a year in calcutta alone, treats 90,000 leprosy patients annually and educates 20,000 children every year.

  Being raised in the org. We were taught that all other religions were an instrument of Satan.
  Mother Theresa set such an example of what a true Christian should be, a life time of showing her warmth, care and compassion.
  Her deeds were to all those who were in need not just to those that were fellow believers.
  Even though there were times she doubted, she never abandoned those in need thus showing the importance of doing good for our fellowman and yet, not having a hidden agenda for doing so ...Thanks for the reminder!

  MAJOR UN/WTS/NGO NEWS - WTS IS GONE

  as of 11:45 this morning (i had a telphone call this morning with the refernce department person named holly at 212-963-7234), i can tell you that the watchtower has disassociated itself from the united nations dpi!!!!!!.

  the dpi is now taking them off the list.

  the dpi requested the list removal to be done this morning!!!!!.

  Wendy (Mommy), had mentioned in a post that there was an application that had to be filled out........I wonder if that would be a matter of public record......If their was nothing wrong with their association to begin with, then why be removed from the list?..I think the noose of their own rope is beginning to tighten a bit more....

  the other evening when i put the garbage out, i got that creepy "i'm being watched" feeling.. elders?

  i thought, looking around in a discreetly paranoid fashion.. nope.

  I will tell you the more you feed them the tamer they get, we use to have one that would sit at our door from time to time at night..I swear he was watching TV....The outcome, we had to use traps, lol......caught 13 in all, we thought there was only one. Warning......they are very smart there was a tag team of raccoons, one would hold the door while the other would eat.....I just knew they were laughing at me..

  Also caught two possums......very hard to get a possum out of a cage when they are playing dead..........Good luck!!!

  Jon passed away this morning

  my name is kevin and i am jon's partner.

  jon gave me his password a few weeks ago and asked me to post to the board if something happened to him.

  as some of you know jon had been undergoing cancer treatment since the end of july.

  Kevin,

  I didn't know Jon for a long period of time but, I am so thankful for the time that I did. He touched my heart and will always be a part of me. I feel that I will be a better person for having know him. I will always treasure his strengths, wit and charm he was a wonderful person and always left me with a smile on my face.
  Kevin I am so sorry for the pain you have already endured and the pain that is yet to come. Please know that my heart and prayers are with you many ((((((((HUGS))))))).

  I see your point, And yes you are right, Evolution is based on science and not faith....so as not to ruffle those that firmly believe in Evolution Vs Creation, I have edited that point....But the rest stands....lol

  I knew I would get shredded on this one...

  Yes, I agree that some things do have proof..Sometimes not everyone will accept that proof. Again that is their choice, I am talking about faith....what each individual feels. What is proven to you may not stand up to reason with another. We all have the right to believe what we want..

  The point I wanted to make is that everyone puts their faith in something..yes, children put their faith in the tooth fairy & santa clause until they gain knowledge of the subjects...Do you force that knowledge on them before they are ready..

  I am only saying that mind control is involved depending on the MOTIVE...nothing more nothing less...
  I have never considered the DB as mind control...It is knowledge given, a person can accept or not...I have seen things get heated in chat when one does not conform their belief, they can be torn to shreds it benefits no one. Knowledge is one thing...abuse is something else..
