my association with the society is through my wife.
when we married she was an inactive memeber (she had disassociated herself over guilt from her divorce), after marrying me, she became active again and was reinstated.

A modest proposal: A national Do Not Call list

there have been reports over time that each kingdom hall keeps a "do not call" list of addresses.
these are addresses in the congregation's territory where, for one reason or another, the jws in the field service are advised not to make calls.

Its been over 10 yrs, and we still get the visit, even after we wrote a letter to the hall, and one to the soc. and even called some on the writing dept. they are very , very few in between but its funny we only get teenagers who come a knocking, I said may i have your add. and come to you, or did i invite you only people i invite are welcomed, we now have a big dog with a gate , and key guess what it now has become a game with the kids, to get in with the dog barking on the other side of the fence, I just yelled out one day, dont come back , if i want you I'll come to you. ha ha!

If Kingdom halls closed their doors

would they open homes for bible study?
or take the wait and see what happens next way out.

And of course we carried our killing kards... no blood to any member of family .....now lets see how do I sign you off my beloved one. to those who it happened to I am humbled of what you did. It just got me thinking its the water that changed me after I came up I was a complete blabbering fool, how many people today think Jw are hypnotized, rather than they are loyal subjects of a loving God, I know how hard it is for us now without the loving family members because we are longer JW, its hard especially for my wife since she is so sick with her cancer and chemo. BUt you guys have helped a lot, ah the ramblings of a lonely husband. Mr. nojo
