Farkel that was most interesting piece of real truth there. After reading everyones pain my goes in the same vein. WE are all left with ? which should never have made sense to us in the first place, and wonder how and why it did make sense then. It is not a religion to me but a very cold andwell run organizaton, Just hoping it very soon will feel the pain so many of us went through and are still going through.

WTS Didn't tell Relatives about death for 7 days

Does fear control the JW's?

i notice amount several jw that a deep kind of fear are a long time partner in the jw person.
this combine with a at long times experience of ignoring facts is why many stays even they see a lot of changes from the borg and sometimes even bad things .

I agree with JanG, I volenteered at school helping children with homework, also libraries are great places , I love books on gardening, while sitting and reading you meet people who have your same interests, whichever your mom feels comfortable with she should start slow, wonderful people and things to make us happy are out there. Success with your mom. nojw

You want to study to become a Jw, well do some thinking onthat one. But as far as looking for them they are on every train station, busy street cornors, just ask but be careful they are a hungrey pack, and just may jump you all at once> It would be better to just walk into a KH and then ask them you want to study with them. nojw

JW have never feared God, he can forgive , but it is the organization and their unforgiving laws thats cloths them in fear.

accurate answers are welcome.. 1) how did it come about that knorr was made president of the wtbts in 1942 after the death of joseph rutherford?
rutherford as we know was an usurper inheritor of russell's wtbts in late 1916 after russell went to his reward.

I met Knorr at a KH dedecation, found him strange and removed when I was introduced, sat next to him for the talk etc, when he said the prayer and we bowed our heads, I saw his shoes were not shined by really dirty, of course my daughter would say mister clean your shoes. LOL. nojw

Newbie saying hello and glad to be here

my hubby and i stopped attending the meetings since december and had our first christmas in 6 years.
it was fun although the feelings of guilt are still within us.. we've been visited by the elders twice but we managed to keep them at bay.
