  greetings and felicitations to all,.

  tonight i attended my first al-anon meeting--it's for families of alcoholics.

  i've been having trouble with my daughter and drugs.. but anyway, the meeting was in a catholic church area.

  Hi Patio, hoping for the best for your daughter, it isnt easy. I know our children missed out on so many activities, swimming at the Y and tennis etc, normal things for a child to grow on to maturity. After school projects, holiday activities it was so cruel for my daughter not to join in the fun, I am shocked to know she blames us for bringing her up in this cruel religion, Here she is in her thirties and angry for missing out on something that should have a positive part of normal growing up.   this friday the elders are coming over to discuss my da letter.

  i keep studying and thinking of what i want to say.

  i'm sure they'll open with a prayer.

  I'll be pulling for you too, hope you you accomplish what you want. I agree with you that being da'd sends a different message then being dfshp to others, do what ever is best in your case. But I whole heartly agree with Farkel its over finished those janitors and window washers need to hear nothing more from you. Don't have any more meetings with them. nojw

  the regulars here may remember that my daughter starting posting here last week, under the name princess.

  in chat, people have asked if she is pretty, and i say she is.

  she also looks just like me, but thinner, and prettier.

  Hi Princess, and Mulan, you guys look great, so happy for you. My daughter is also 31, but not yet married. Her attitude suddenly changed towards me and she angry for all years of torture she went through as a Jw, I really envy your realtionship you both have together, hope mine smooths over. nojw

  Hi Latte, no not really, more so is it tues, thrus, etc, already. So funny about those smiles, just as I am typing this up two of them ring my bell, they stand there for about two long minutes, long sad faces, they looked hot, bored, tired no happy smiles on their faces. nojw

  The Power of the Human Spirit

  i have read many accounts of human tragedy on this board.

  i have also read the recovery that people have experienced once they got out from under the oppressive and destructive world that was the watchtower.

  i find it amazing that when people receive a modicum of a healthy environment how they are able to heal, sometimes quickly and sometimes more slowly, but the progress is there.

  Hi Larc, so very true, I am so grateful to have this board to read of others and the their healing process, it has helped in so many different ways, except when we get called terrible names by the jw, when your phyically sick, it brings down your healing process. But as you said Larc and I second, I have a great affection for the congregtion of people on this board. nojw

  i turned to this website looking for encouragement.. i thought it was a genuine jw chat site.. what do i find?.

  most who write here, don't belive in the jw teachings.. most are complainers and apostate.. does any one know were i can find a genuine jw site?

  These jw need some form of entertainment , life is very dull for the average jw, with all of the no cant do that stuff. If she were a true jw, her life would be so busy with studying, field service, return vists, all the assemblys, all the books to read, plus the cong. should supply more than enough friends to chat with.Visit other cong, and find friends to chat with. But they are dull and unhappy that attacking people is their best form of releasing frustation of unhappiness of being stuck in the org.Let god do the attacking, you just do your witness thang. nojw

  What is a Gargoyl?

  after reading zazu pitts post and that old bossart hotel which was bought by the jw.

  still had the gargolys on its roof top amazed me, since i thougt that gargoyls were domonic stautes.

  can anyone help me withsome input onthis one?
