Latte I am right there with you.. i have only got 2 visits in the 3 years i have been out.. and on one of them visits 2 elders told me i was killing my 2 babies since i dont go to meetings.. and told i would have to think about that every day.. shhessshh.. What loving chrsitian brothers.. But i never get Mags or anything.. they did tell me on that visit i could have a subscription whenever i came to the Hall and donated for it..
yeah that wasnt going to happen:)

Just got a visit from elders
by TweetieBird inwell, it's sunday morning and i'm sitting here posting on this board when i hear 2 car doors slam.
i peek out the window and see 2 elders walking up to the door.
since i'm still in my jammies, i told my husband to go get the door while i snuck into the bedroom.

by NoLongerAjw inis there any way to get a subscription to the magazines with out having to go to the hall??
i would like to see what kinda stuff is in them these days.. just for fun:) an elder came by a few months ago and i asked if i could have a subscription and he said yes he would fill one out when i came to the hall to make a donation.. uugghh no way i am going there.. can anyone help me?

i wish i could just have some one get them for me. but i am lucky i have no family in the borg, they left when i did.. i will try and see what happens.. and let you all know..

OH i know how you feel!!!! i have been inactive for 3 years now.. i had elders come tell me about 4 months ago that since i wasnt going to meetings.. my 3 year old boy and my 8 month old girl were going to die because of me!!! talk about a guilt trip.. it bothered me for days but i relized that they are just trying to scare me to come back.. those feelings will go away.. if you would like to talk fell free to email me anytime..

we were taught for so long that things like this lead to the gt.
i thnk being a witness for so long makes this more scary then it really is.. i my self will probably go hide the day the world cries peace and security.. and is that something that my happen if they get all of the terriost?

Stories like this are just mind blowiing.. they were right there where this happend and the one thing she has to report is that, "We let a JW family who lost all there stuff stay here with us last night".. what about all those other people?? what do Jw's do when they see that woman who's home was destroyed walking with 2 kids, looking for her husband.. do they snicker cause ahh maybe the end is near?? i wouldnt doubt it.. i like the part that says "we were told to stay within the bethel compound.". does that sound like a cult or what? it just makes me sick that they can't help fellow men.. but probably inside are cheering.. and using it as a way to push more mags. you think they go up to firefighters on break and offer them the mags .. and mention the donation?? i bet they do.. uugghhh just upsets me..

for me it was because all my friends my age had gotten baptized.. and it was left up to me to do it too.. to fit in i guess.

Which meeting was the hardest to attend for you ?
by NoLongerAjw infor me i think it was the sunday meeting.. just wanting to stay home and sleep in.. but i think the watchtower study was the hardest to sit threw... you had to have it studied before hand.. and highlighted.. then sit there and listen to it all over again..

Wondering why wont they let you have someone with you? when they come to visit and set you straight so to speak.. i have'nt went to a meeting in 3 years.. i dont think there is anyway my hubby would let me sit in a room all alone with 3 elders.. are you saying he would not be able to be present? he just wouldnt want them to interigate me all by myself.. i went to the meetings for 13 years.. my hubby is not a jw.. just wondering..

Just a female thing?
by anglise insince drifting from the org over the last year or so i have been slowly updating my clothes.
i thought maybe it was just me who had been dressing like a middle aged matron since i was 23 but whilst talking to a young xsister recently i learnt that she too has thrown out most of the clothes she used to wear whilst a dub.. has anyone else found themselves doing this, and is it just a female thing?

HI, I havent posted for awhile... My clothing style has not changed much at all.. i go for comfort.. I only own 1 dress now though.. and NO pantyhose... I did get my first tattoo about 2 months ago... at age 24... me and my hubby went on vacation.. and i just had an urge to get one.. so i did.. it's a butterfly on my back right shoulder... i love it.. and it only hurt a little... now i really want one on my lower back... might do that sometime...
