  a bit on my background.

  i studied with the jw's a while ago in my teens, was acitve in meetings, and all the other things good witnesses do.

  I had a conversation with my wife, an active JW. We talked about changes in the Org we see on the horizon ("New Light"); yep she had the conversation with me and seemed to enjoy the topic.

  I live in California and like New York, and Massachusetts, California is in the forefront of sexual orientation equality rights. Some of the big changes in this area will be the illegal treatment of persons based on there sexual orientation in areas not related to "work" or "housing" which are already legislated against discrimination, an example of what I writing about would be marriage, financial (i.e. banking, wills) and medical decisions (i.e. same sex spousal visits in critical care wings of hospitals).

  Here is were the rubber is going to hit the road for the WTBTS, imagine if you can for a moment if you heard that a brother and sister in good standing were DF'ed for getting married because one was black and one was white. That did happen to witnesses, now ask yourself could that happen today. NO, so what's going to happen in a few years, say in California when two brothers get married in a civil wedding and then show back up at the KH on Sunday? If the only reason they are DF'ed is because there "GAY", all hell is going to break lose in the courts, you can bet that's coming!

  Unlike some, I would welcome all the elders in the KH I have to attend for personal family reasons to be regular posters to this site. Listen when someone says that an seemly active JW publisher, MS, Elder, Pioneer, (dare I hope, CO) is being dishonest, I say "How do you know"? I consider myself a 5th columeist within the WTBTS, I can express my true feeling in a subtle but honest fashion. I can say "I find nothing wrong with gay people, and hope there is new light about them so some of our brothers and sisters can serve Jehovah more openly". Wow when I say that the drones almost passout, then I get asked how I could even believe such a thing, at that point I can point out that since adam and eve sinned all humans are inperfect and Jehovah "ALLOWED" that imperfection so I see no reason why there won't be new light about gays just as there was about interacial marriage, or all people being equal reguardless of there skin color,......and now the drone is thinking!

  Adding BIGMAC's comment to my trash heap of bad advice I've heard from people, during my lifetime tendered without thought to how it affects those it's offered to. Now to talk about the thread.

  Going every once in awhile is extremly boringgggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg, I have a hard time listing to the drones and stage barkers putting on there shows. its not entertaining at all, well maybe abit entertaining. However I like to look around at those in attendance now and try and figure out who else is also just going through the motions. I don't comment, I don't go out in service, I'm not on the school and the fun part for me is how that drives the elders crazy!!

  Along these lines I have a funny acqdote. My wife a faithful jdub and I went to our special day assembly late last year after I had informed her of my fade. It was during that shock phase when she just could not believe what I had told her about "not thinking the WTBTS was the truth and that I thought it was a cult". So alittle about me, I've never been a really strong note taker much to her shigrin as she is always encourgeing me to pay closer attention and take notes. Well there I was at the SDA taking notes on every talk like crazy, and she turns to me and hiss's "Stop taking notes"! OMG she knew I was going to fact check all the crap they were spuing so she tells me to stop...LOL

  Along the lines of meeting up I'll be in Burlingame CA in May between the 25-28th and would love to have coffee with any Northern California JWN friends just PM me if your intrested.

  What was the last meeting you ever went to?

  i figured out it's been 4 months and 5 days since my last meeting ever.

  july 10th, it was a sunday.

  i hadn't been there in 2 months or so and decided to see if anyone noticed i'd been gone.

  i had no plans to turn up to the court hearing as an observer, as in my experience, it can take several hearings and a number of months before any court case gets rolling.
