well im going to be unpopular here.

i am still in jw orginization, in fact i just went to a meeting tonight and even had the privlege of caring microphones.

i'm being set up as an example in the congregation...and guess what else...i dont believe anything!!

Understand your situation bro, I'm in the same spot only just a few years older!!!! My problem married to wonderful sister but have huge doubts myself!!!! I assure you still active within the Org. but "goin' thru the motions"!! The whole drifting away slowly works for many, but not me. I don't want those to think I am spiritually weak........I have never been so spiritual in my whole life!! Hate jumping thru hoops(MS, PIO, etc) because thats what everybody wants me to do!!!

Window Cleaners?

under the encouragement of the society i pioneered for three years instead!.

You All Can Blame Me!!!!

I was the JW in ALL the Dramas telling all young ones that Pioneering is the way to go!!!!!! I was Ted, if you remember...well I wasn't a window washer but I was a janitor to support Pioneering!!!! Thats the other job Pios do!! Here I sit, the Org says "We never said College was bad......just 4 years". Now the Org has Demos at CAs that endorse 2 year programs!!! AAAAGGGGHHH!!!! So here Teddy sits muttering to himself "I could have been a contender (somebody!!).....
Oh well welcome to normie's world!!!!!

WTBTS Monitoring Discussion Boards??????

just curious many say that the org monitors dbs, but anybody have concrete proof of this??

oh by the way at the recent ca dbs were mentioned from the platform!!!

the thought was "some jws were visting jehovahs witness discusssion boards and trying to correspond with some"...might not be exactly what was said(not an actual quote)...they mentioned put a doubt in your mind and start questioning your beliefs!!!

AlanF and jst2laws, I think you both are right in regards to How these boards might be monitored. I believe some lurk and in turn tell the Higher Ups, it seems a little far fetched to have a Dept or Group at Bethel "monitoring" and writing down names and keeping "tabs" on the active ones that post here.I do agree we have to guard what we say locally!!

we hopefully all agree it is wrong to reject an entire race because we have found one of its member to be flawed, or to reject an entire concept an the basis of finding a flaw in its argument.

would not fair people look for a way to accept the good in the concept, modify the flawed portion and rejoice in what was gained from the refined concept?

it would also be wrong, as the wt does, to reject an entire institution because some of its precepts are flawed.

I reaslly enjoy your responses, i believe most that read and respond understand our situations!! You are in a different position than I tho being an Elder, with much more to lose!! But both of us are trying to figure ....Whats Next??...How do we go about explaining where we are coming fromand where were going to friends and loved ones!!! Anyway keep upthe good posts and I think all here support Ya!!!

this is normie thoughts on the threads about the truth..... i have huge doubts about a lot of things about the org.

i have been a jw for 20 yrs and still active(family reasons).

but nobody but nobody has refuted to my mind, the fact nobody does the evangelizing work jesus did.

I gues the word "spin" may have not been the right word to use.... Iam not sure what word would fit better!! I fully understand the negativity about the Org. I just am at a point I am trying to justify why I am still active. Scorpion you are right once those doubts creep in theyt overshadow things that you have long held near and dear to you. I believe thats where I am at in the Org now!! Weighing out the Pros and Cons!! I have so many friends in the Org and that helps keep me going...but having to squash all the doubts in your mind and say that "wait on Jehovah" is going to work is tough.....Oh well its a tangled web we weave....when we first try to deceive.....I mean stay in the Truth for others and putting your own thoughts and feelings aside and try and blend in with everybody else.
I know most here have went thru similar things and can vouch for me the struggle. You know what to top it off this weekend is our Circuit Assy!!! Knowing what I know now makes going super tough!! Oh well atleast it will make my wife and friends happy that I'm going...Might even tell them how much I love the spiritual Banquet that we enjoyed this weekend.....mention some of the pointsd I will use in Service..you know so think I'm still trying.......(I hate that part!!!!!!!!)
oh well gotta go............

To All Who Have Responded
I think maybe Farkel said it best on the other thread with the situation that js2laws and myself find ourselves in...not really trying to defend the Truth but explaining why we are still in!!
To me personally knowing God's personal name and knowing there isa World wide Botherhoood is encouraging to me!! This response won't be long, but should be able to go more in depth tomorrow....
The reason I am still regularin the Door-to-Door work is so I don't raise Red Flags to anybody. I mean I go out 1 or 2 a month and that seems to appease the Family and Cong!! Yes I do have a hard time going to9 the door when I have doubts myself!!!

Me and js2laws are in a tough predicament and just want to try and put a positive spin on everything!!
