Hey everyone; why is this ja-moeker being welcomed to the forum? IMVHO, I believe that he is not only a troll, but a "poster" who posted his comment to see what type of reactions could get from us members. I call BULLS^*T re: this guy!

Christmas as a JW child
by Phoebe ini am sitting here, so utterly bored and waiting for this day to be over.
so i'm starting a new topic that probably has been done a thousand times but hey, i'm fairly new here.
humor me :).

Phoebe and everyone here--I know how you all feel, for I also experienced the same myself in the past.
What really pisses me off is how the GB and their helpers have pressured the R&F to go in field circus to "convince" other people not to have and give up their happy celebrations/belief systems for a belief system of doom and gloom plus sadness and depression. I hated going out from door to door in the friggin' cold to tell other people lies--I bet the GB and their helpers were up in their rooms at Bethel in Brooklyn Heights, warm/comfy/cozy without a care in the world on that day (at Warwitch, too)!
They don't care what they have done to families, particularly to children. Heartless bastards (I'm getting out of this đź’© !)!!!!!!!!!

Difficulty fading out
by Emily1987 inthis is my first post on here so i apologize that it is like an essay!.
my husband and i are currently 'fading out' of the truth.
we stopped preaching in may 2016 and limited meeting attendance in january 2017 and stopped completely in june 2017. my main reason for this was my whole life i have been doing things to please others, even getting baptized to please my mum.

Hi, Emily and welcome, welcome!
I can empathize with you, for I am in the process of fading as well. Your so-called friend ratted on you and your family because she is in a "FOG": Fear-Obligation-Guilt. Many PIMI dubs are being controlled and this is one of the unfortunate affects from their indoctrination.
I agree with what all of the other posters are saying/advising. You will really find that life outside of the BORG is worth living and you and your family can find happiness away from the GB and their death-dealing bullshit!

Hi, KindEyes. Welcome to the Forum.
I found that The Learning Annex has various classes with a variety of subjects (such as: real estate, home/interior design, music, arts and crafts, culinary, how to build your own business, tips on traveling domestically/internationally, etc.) can be a great way to meet other people. Some people I know (both ex-jw and jw) have had success via this. You can check them out at: http://www2.learningannex.com/ or http://www2.learningannex.com/default.taf?cat=about_us&aboutsect=contact

Which Things Did Your Overzealous Parents Ban?
by pale.emperor inwe all know the gb like to impose rules upon the rules... but did anyone else out there have parents that implemented rules upon those rules?
mine did.
my mum tended to copy whatever the elders wives were doing and took it to the extreme.

Pierced ears ["Lookin' like Jezebel"];
Star Trek ["Mr. Spock looks like the Devil" (like one knows what the devil really looks like)];
Cereals such as 'Lucky Charms', 'Boo Berry', 'Franken Berry' and 'Count Chocula';
Most disco songs;
Playing musical instruments [especially if we weren't going to play the Kingdom Melodies];
Exercise/physical fitness [hearing the reiteration of the scripture re: "bodily training. . . . . "];
Bowling and other group sports [i.e., volleyball, softball, handball, etc. ("the spirit of competition. . . .")];
Arts and crafts [i.e., painting, sewing, crocheting, knitting, etc. One older brother told my parents that "children should spend more time studying the scriptures than doing that stuff. That stuff you can do in the new system!"];
Checking out various fashion magazines;
and oh so much damn more--makes me sick to see how the BORG is most boring/deadly org there is!

What can the leadership at Watchtower do to turn things around?
by UnshackleTheChains inlet's play devils advocate here.. put yourself in the governing body's shoes.
they are well aware of all the issues they are facing.
they know their numbers (they 'do the math' as they say in the us).

Let's not forget the blood ban. If they would "shed new light with some scripture proof as support (so-called)", then this may just to a certain degree "save their hides" so to speak. Unfortunately, this does not and would not bring back to life the other thousands to millions of Dubs and their children who became sacrificial lambs for this heinous doctrine!

A Comment from jwsurvey.org
by HiddlesWife ini read some information from jwsurvey.org the other day and a poster ("big b") posted the following comment (these main words i highlighted in bold) which really stood out to me: .
there is no place in an modern world for this organization but watch its downward spiral into the abyss of historic oblivion as most of the adventist millerite movement has already taken.
the jehovah’s witnesses are shown that the organization is corrupt and lies through its teeth are being intellectually dishonest with nobody but themselves as this recent survey shows.

The Jehovah’s Witnesses are shown that the Organization is corrupt and lies through its teeth are being intellectually dishonest with nobody but themselves as this recent survey shows. These idiots that put their faith in the promises of men are not to be hated but pitied. Like the Sergei video they will die disappointed, despondent, discouraged, disillusioned, disgruntled, and angry at lost opportunities wasted on a man-made cult based on a supposition. Namely, “let us suppose Adam and Eve did not sin in Eden”.
Some ask why don’t these men see what’s going on and do the right thing? Maybe they are trying to have persecution come on the organization by the world’s governments and start the Great Tribulation on their own. Is this in the back of their delusional minds? God forbid; it will not work out for them but hasten their demise.
This poster's statement (in bold) really made me think: Would the GB and their helpers really be radical and insane enough to do something like that?! (Hopefully not to prove a point!) Does anyone have any thoughts about this?

2017 Annual Meeting
by Jules Saturn inthis just in from the 2017 annual meeting:.
1. watchtowers and awakes won't be released regularly, at least three watchtower and awakes per year.
6 magazines a year.. 2. a new book is being released: remain in god's love, more of an update like how they did for the what does the bible really teach book.

Although my close family members and I did not attend the annual meeting, a sister and her son from the neighboring cong, whom we all regularly speak with, told us that "there were a few changes going to happen, but we fell asleep during a nice part of the program". She also told us that she and her son "were looking forward to going out to a dinner and a movie with some other friends from another circuit right after that annal thing!". Another brother and his small family (whom one of my sisters and a cousin bumped into while shopping at the local mall) mentioned that they fell asleep also--especially since they went to Comicon the night before, which they really enjoyed being there and couldn't stop talking about that!
I guess this "annal meeting" was really anal to some R&F this year. . . . . . . . . .
