Very interesting that wrongdoing involving Circuit Overseers is conspicuously absent from that list!

Gerrit Losch Claims JW's Attending College Are Spiritually Weak
by pale.emperor inhttps://www.facebook.com/jw.0027/videos/799049613609936/.
the video was posted directly to a pro-jw facebook page.

Although this is an old video, I'm glad this was posted again, now as college classes are about to start, to remind JW's and their ilk how controlling -- and hypocritical -- the Tower Slave International organization is on this issue.
Out of one side of their mouth, they restrict their members from having any ambition in life, banishing their members to a life of low-skill wage slavery. But out of the other side of their mouth, they send out letters to congregations inviting members with professional degrees to join the elite at Bethel.
They don't want their slaves doing anything that might make them more desirable members of society -- unless it somehow benefits the org.
This organization relegates their slaves to a life of poverty, while ordering the donations to keep rolling in, begging for money on their slick TV show while wearing gold watches.
Jesus had people like them in mind when he said at Matthew 23:4: "They bind up heavy loads and put them on the shoulders of men, but they themselves are not willing to budge them with their finger."

Juarez MX Assembly Kingdom Hall to be sold.
by ironsnake656 inthere are several confirmed announcements in some congregations around the city regarding the sale of the assembly kingdom hall.
one of the reasons why it will be sold is that expenses are not covered by donations.
the hall was dedicated in 2009. actually, in some congregations the elders have not given the announcement for the publisher's reaction... .

Not sure I follow.
Won't the branch just charge the 60 pesos a head plus a fee for the rental of the "worldly" facility? No, unless they change their policy (which isn't out of the question). Currently, circuits that rent outside facilities for circuit assemblies pay the rental cost directly to the management. Usually a lot cheaper than an assembly hall.

That assembly hall is used only by the Mexico (now officially called Central America) Branch. JW's from the USA don't go there. There's a similar situation in the Rio Grande Valley, with 2 assembly halls almost literally across the border from each other (La Feria TX / Reynosa MX).
Assembly halls are big money makers for the WTS in Mexico. The current assembly hall rental fee (required 'donation') to use these paid-for facilities is 60 pesos per publisher, which is the equivalent of about USD$3.50. However, many Mexican families, especially among JW's, are poorer than their US counterparts.
When many JW families in Mexico are taking home about 150 pesos a day, a family with 3 kids as publishers are expected to pay up 300 pesos.
And for many assembly halls in Mexico, these are NOT suggested donations. Some circuits charge each congregation for their required donation, and in turn the elders charge each family for their part. I know of some congregations where the elders will go to your house and expect you to cough up your required donation before each assembly.
If you think the WTS grubs for money in the US, it's even worse in Mexico. Evidently, they weren't getting their expected profits in Juarez, so they'll just sell the building and pocket the profits.
In the end, this will be a better deal for the Juarez JW's. It will be a lot cheaper to pay a 'worldly' company to rent a building than to rent an assembly hall from the JW Corporation.

In the USA, this has been going on for decades in the congs. The parents do it under the guise of shielding their innocent children from the 'wicked system'. Of course, these parents usually enroll their children in some cheap Witness internet homeschool like "Pear Blossom". After graduating from this joke of a school, these adolescents are equipped for wonderful careers such as regular pioneering, burger flipping, and window washing. Some graduates are even accepted to prestigious universities such as Pioneer Service School.
I know firsthand of parents who are high school dropouts themselves that decide to homeschool their children. They leave their adolescent son/daughter home alone to "do their schoolwork" online while both parents leave to work all day. Their 'innocent' JW child spends all day playing videogames, watching porn, and playing with themselves; little schoolwork gets done.
The official line from the Tower Slave International home office is that homeschool is neither promoted nor discouraged; it is a family decision. However, the powers that be have given a wink and a nod to homeschooling. Not once has it been criticized in the publications (how many things can we say that about?) The leaders of this organization know that homeschool (at least the way it's done by JW's) keeps JW kids that much more enslaved, dependent on the org, and less likely to think for themselves. Besides, the more educational & financial options that young people have, the less likely they are to stay in the religion.
Ironically, many homeschooled kids in my area turn 18, get a low-paying fast-food-type job, quickly find a 'worldly' boyfriend or girlfriend, and then fade or are DF'ed, never to set foot in a Kingdom Hell ever again.

Covering the territory
by Ding inhow often are jws trying to cover a given territory nowadays?.
logically, they should be trying to cover the territory more and more often the closer armageddon gets, but it seems to me i see them out far less often than i used to..

Their goal is to cover all territories at least once a year. Congregations that can't do this can get assistance from the home office or surrounding congregations to cover their territories.
Of course, what they call 'cover' the territory is a lot different than it used to be. Lots of publishers knock so quietly that nobody would ever know they were there. Is there a No Trespassing sign anywhere on the premises? Skip the house! Nobody at home? Leave a tract and forget about it!
A lot of territory coverage (maybe 30 to 40%?) consists of Memorial/Convention invitation canvassing, where no real message is conveyed. Gone are the days when JW's prepared, rehearsed, and delivered a 4-5 minute sermon at the door which actually included Bible scriptures.
This generation of JW's seems more interested in making an appearance on Saturday morning, working a few houses, then hightailing it to McDonald's/Starbucks/Panera Bread for a lengthy break.

Most Widely Circulated Magazine In The World
by Calebs Airplane inwhich magazine is now the most widely circulated in the world?.
before responding, keep in mind that certain parameters (such as content and page count) ought to be met before any printed material intended for mass distribution can be categorized as a “magazine”.
for example, the absolute minimum range for any publication to be considered a magazine is typically around 32 to 48 pages while the highest page counts are usually around 128 to 160, with some popular women’s fashion magazines coming in quite a bit higher than that.. so with that said, which is now the world’s most widely circulated magazine?.

It's pretty pathetic when they can't even get people to take their 'magazine' for free.

The Crotchtower 'magazine' is about as welcome as the flyers advertising payday loans they sometimes stick under my windshield wiper in the Walmart parking lot.
The Tower Slave International organization is 'clearly struggling', too. Even with a 140-year-old network of worldwide distribution, eager slaves willing to spend their own cash to distribute their message, a slick website, and a free 24-hour TV channel, they only average 2 to 4 people to sign on for boobtism at an average circuit assembly (and most of them are pre-pubescent children or mentally challenged).

Good analysis, as always.
Paragraph 17 was the most memorable for me. The elderly lady literally has no food in her refrigerator, but she sure as heII better find some dough for the Tower Slave International organization! Where are the elders and the loving pioneers and the circuit overseers then? They like to give assembly experiences of families with no money that magically found a bag of groceries on their doorstep, but when has this organization ever honestly encouraged feeding the poor/hungry? Those
circuit overseers leeches have their hands outstretched for another green handshake when they have an old widow with no food in her fridge? You literally cannot make this up!!
Somehow, they took a fairly harmless psalm about doing what is good and trusting in God and turned it into another money-grubbing session!
Paragraph 15 is a close second, with the other elderly lady who's living alone and on oxygen. She could be listening in on the phone tie-in, but NO! The all-knowing elders probably told her she didn't qualify. She better get her keister to the Kingdom Hell so she can drop some more of her dead husband's money into the contribution box.
And the young sister next to her had better wake up soon, or else she'll be even worse off in 50 years time!
