I encourage all to promote the movie on others boards as well. It's a true and timely story. I'd like to hear the back story from the actors as to why they wanted to be in the movie.

No need to bury the lede: Spotlight is a masterpiece.
Director Tom McCarthy’s drama (**** out of four; rated R; opens Friday in New York, Los Angeles and Boston, nationwide Nov. 20) embraces both great cinema and even better journalism as it chronicles a Boston Globe investigative team’s real-life expose on child abuse by local priests and the Catholic Church cover-up that followed. Not only is it an amazingly crafted movie, it’s an important one as well.
The Globe group won a Pulitzer Prize for its 2002 work, but the real tale begins a year earlier with the arrival of new boss Marty Baron (Liev Schreiber) to the newspaper. He wants to see the Globe dig into some really hefty stuff, like following up on a recent column accusing a priest of sexually molesting dozens of kids over three decades.

Because it is "an" explanation. Least likely or not. My point really is to keep an open mind about possibilities. It is just a sample.
Man made huge evolutionary leaps that no one can explain. Going from a single celled organism to the complexity of the human body and the development of a human brain, is worth an open mind.

Perhaps flat-eathers. But you have to admit the representation is pretty remarkable. A lot of speculation and opinion. Maybe they just saw it somewhere before and copied it without fully comprehending it. If so, where did it come from 10,000 years ago. An unexplained leap in evolution.

Help from who? Now that's the question. Evolution is proven, but there was exponential levels of development that are not explained.
How were the Sumerians accurately depicting the solar system (including relational sizes) 10,000 years before man figured out that the sun doesn't orbit the earth? They had Pluto - we didn't find it until around the 50's.
Who? I don't know.

I believe in both. I don't think it's entirely an accident that life has some really complicated functions. There are gaps in evolution where humans took great unexplained leaps in form and in intelligence. I believe in evolution, but I also believe that it had help.
