I agree. The irony is that in a non JW doing extensive research to make a relationship work, no matter how hard, is usually the end when you find out.

I stand by my statement. You're an asshole.
Someone came here looking for sollice, support, and advice. You were completely out of line.
If you can find something I said that was wrong please point it out.
I did. Do we need crayons here?
I gave thank you several opportunities to recant/explain. As a matter of fact, when you find something I've said that is wrong in any OP, please let me know and I will fix it.
No. It was my first comment to you. Where does " several opportunities" come from? Do I need to explain a conversation to you? It is where one person speaks and the other takes his turn, and then potentially again.
I don't know "thank you" personally. But it doesn't take much to spot a narcissistic asshole.
You asked for opinions, and you received exactly what you asked for and exactly what you deserved based on the statement - your statement - I copied. Childishly avoiding responding to negative opinions and seeking refuge behind the skirts of those who liked you Sally suggests you are emotionally immature and manipulative.
I made an honest and very accurate assessment of your statement, devoid of any venom. That is not the problem; that is the solution to childish, immature and manipulative people. Suggesting otherwise, or that those who disagree with you aren't normal and aren't optimists is manipulation of the highest level. Hiding behind the skirts of girls kinda sorta proves my point.
Mr. Koresh, you aren't smart enough to play this game with me. Go play with, and manipulate, girls. If you want to play with grown up adult males, I'm right here waiting on you Richard.
I'm one of the few people on this site that can actually help people,
Explain to everyone how you are one of the few tiny people that can help people you berate and belittle.
There are some great insecurities there ...

The Watchtower is nothing but a financial black whole. The only thing they promote (brag about) is investments to get more money. Where does all your money REALLY go? Where did the OTHER $236 million go? -

Thank you so much RULES & REGULATIONS for putting the words into numbers. I wish there was some facts and figures for how much money the Watchtower leaches off of local communities for their FREE presence in our towns for being tax exempt and costing everyone else to pay for their welfare.
And you know what - if they are forcing armies of people - who don't even want to do it - banging on doors of people that hate them banging doors as uninvited guests - making them pay for their blight on society ----- the Watchtower should kneel and beg forgiveness from Christians that they have been pissing off for years. GET OFF MY DOORSTEP - I AM SICK OF PAYING YOUR TAXES. You give nothing.

The WT knew in 1922 that 1914 was wrong !
by Phizzy inin the may 1922 edition of the wt, page 133, rutherford is writing defending the work of russell and the 1914 doctrine, he quotes what some have said to prove russell was wrong :.
" "zedekiah was taken captive and jerusalem fell in the year 587 b. c.; thus showing that the full end of the gentile times and the fall of gentile governments is indicated to take place in 1934".. he goes on, in his own inimitable style, to disprove the above, but note, he is aware of the 587bce date for jerusalem's destruction.. if you are interested, you can read the whole mag here*, just click on pdf to read.. * https://ia700401.us.archive.org/19/items/1922watchtowerarticlesonchronology/1922_watchtower_articles_on_chronology.pdf.

They knew back in 1922 that 1914. And they kept on preaching about it.
Thanks again Beth -
Wouldn't it be more helpful if they knew about 1914 in 1900? Russell based the end of the whole world on 1914 based on measurements of pyramids (money donations to the Watchtower). Oops World didn't end. Russell claimed a "false" measurement was to blaim - World will certainly end in 1915. God got fed up with the false prophet and just offed him him 2016. Well, he had to let 2015 run out just to make Russell look like more of an ass.
Why? Please tell my why? People listen to this group that has promised the absolute end of the world a dozen times and it never happens? They very bible they preach from says false prophets must die.
Are these just propaganda for magazine subscription drives?

The positive achievements of Science and Religion in 2015. How do they compare?
by nicolaou inscience.. landed a probe on a comet, found liquid water on mars and successfully completed a ten year mission to pluto.. developed the first successful vaccine against ebola, discovered another human species in homo naledi, developed cancer killing molecules and high intensity ultrasound therapies which avoid surgery and leave healthy cells alone.
successfully mapped the human epigenome and developed the gene editing tool crispr, it's potential for medical and agricultural advance is staggering!.
found a way to produce graphene for a 1000th of the previous cost, developed cheap and sustainable methods to supply clean drinking water where water borne infections have been killing thousands, scaled up production of clean, renewable energy.. there's loads more, please feel free to add to the list.. .

Yes, they follow orders. Who knows what really is in their heart.
Real Christians don't have "orders" - we don't even have @&($$$ BS time cards. We are not enslaved by a for-profit company. At best we have a collective effort - or we go elsewhere - and no one threatens to hurt us or cut us of from our families. You know what's in their heir heart - because they are there. They can leave if they are not "in".
Real Christians don't threaten or interrogate people with "groups of elders". You either are either there or you aren't - your personal choice. You can be just involved or uninvolved as you choose - you are always welcome.
Has no one every got the irony that a "for prophet$$ publishing company" chooses to anoint people with the special title of "publishers"? That is not a biblical term at all. What do they write and "publish"? Ever? They are not allowed to publish - everything is "published" for them and propagandized forcibly spoon fed. Even answers to questions are written for them.
Why is it that they cannot not even bring themselves to set foot in a God's "CHURCH". They are not even allowed to call their own buildings a "Church". They have to call them falsely "Kingdom Halls". Is that a Satan thing? Who tricks people into believing that they will inherit the world? For their help in conning people not to go to a God's church? The Watchtower is very ANTI EVERY CHURCH.

Why do all communities world-wide have to pay extra taxes to accommodate community-services free-loaders like the Watchtower so they can boost their self serving profits?
No one ever asked me if wanted to ripped off by the Watchtower.

During the 2015 service year, Jehovah’s Witnesses spent over $236 million in caring for special pioneers, missionaries, and traveling overseers in their field service assignments. Worldwide, a total of 26,011 ordained ministers staff the branch facilities. All are members of the Worldwide Order of Special Full-Time Servants of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
And how much of the $236 million dollars was paid to local communities for fire/police/ambulance services and protection for KH and members. Roads, Feed the homeless, community support, community benefit all?
Why does the Watchtower get any tax exempt status as purely a blight on society? Why am I paying taxes to support their services?
The statement itself should be brought up before government authorities as narcissistic and ripping off communities purely for their own benefit.
My Church has programs to feed those that cannot afford food. With area Churches, provides shelter for the homeless on a rotating basis - no matter what faith or religion. Free educational programs.
WTF?
