Someone tell me why the Watchtower is tax exempt?

there is a watchtower kingdom hall.

they do not pay any local sales tax or property tax.

I live in a town. There is a Watchtower Kingdom Hall. They do not pay any local sales tax or property tax. They have local coverage of police and fire and community services for free --- at the unwanted expense of EVERYONE else.

The Watchtower is a plague and blight on all our communities. They suck up services. Tax free. AND THEY HAVE NO PLACE OR REASON to be here. They offer NO benefit to the community at all.

The WT/JW are like locusts. Tax free - robing locals.

We hate them. Stop knocking at our doors unwanted. Not unwanted - despised. Get out.

Get off my door step and stop sucking up my taxes - I never agreed to pay local taxes to cover you!

Use use the Old Testament - hate Jews for writing it wrong and misunderstanding their own writings. Use use the New Testament and hate hate the Catholics that wrote it for understanding it wrong.

Why do the WT/JW hate the Jews and Catholics so very much for writing the book they follow so seriously?

hi, i just joined the board and wanted to present myself.. i'm active, in fact very active in congregation activities serving "where the need is great" in a foreign language congregation somewhere in western europe.

as a young brother, i'm seen as an example as i'm doing all a good witness should do.. i had doubts years ago but i decided just to ignore them and move to another congregation to preach more.

that worked for some years but i'm now at the exact same point.

The Horror of mom needing blood and almost dying...you dont want this!!!

my mom was unwell for awhile bruises on her body....doc tells us she has a form of lukiemia.

of course "no blood" she is anointed and stubborn as hell.

her platelets (blood fraction 2% of blood volume) are 4 should be 150!!!

I HATE THE WATCHTOWER SO MUCH FOR FALSE BULLSHIT OPINIONS THEY FORCE ON OTHERS.

I think there are issues with "consuming" blood. But that makes some sense - don't drink (ingest) blood. Although it is probably a high protein snack of very vital nutrient we already need. Transfusion are NOT DRINKING BLOOD. I am alive today for God's help/ability/knowledge to replace blood I needed.

Did ANYONE ever stop to think that God gave us the ability to save lives with blood transfusions? The medical and the science and the knowledge and the ability to save the lives of each other. GOD GAVE US BLOOD TRANSFUSIONS AND LIFE SAVING SKILLS. Why the hell to people refuse God's gift?

Don't run around drinking the blood of goats. Be kosher. But any one who ever eats meat - ingests blood. Every single WT/JW should be vegan or they are breaking the law. No more meat ever. Die without God's gifts of saving lives.

Stupidest thing I ever heard that people refuse life saving measures.

they have pointed out that the greek word for obedience is "hypakouo" or some other, not "pei'tho" which is the one that appears in the beginning of verse 17 at hebrews ch.

their motive for their objections may be one of rancor brought about by the extreme authoritative measures the society have imposed on the brotherhood.

The people/former-people can only see 2 or 3 times the WT/JW guaranteed the end of the world when you can prove on paper it was more then a dozen times -- but they cannot see those other worlds. How does that work?

Yet every day they insist on on getting up in the morning, get dressed, and uninvited go pounding pounding door-to-door to claims their FALSE PROPHETS know the truth.

Rutherford stole $150 million from people during the depression era - promised the end of the world many times - why the hell would I sign up for your cult?

The WT are not Christians. People are not subservient to humans.

Show me where the WT has any connection to God or has any control. "to those taking the lead among them" is a very dangerous thing. George Jones took the lead. Charles Manson took the lead. My best proof is on the Bible's dire warnings of beware of false profits. The WT has proven of a dozen times to claim the end of the world, as fund raisers. I would not trust them.

My point was simply that you can not get too deep into translations of languages and meaning when the WT had no intention of "correcting" mis-translations. They deliberately changed words to support their own belief.
