  a: looked at it, nothing, just says Bible. And in the bible, it just says the end is near. Wasn't that 2000 years ago?

  Hello, I have a little question here.

  (Be patient with my English)

  Im lurking around here trying to get myself strait on if I really want to become a witness. And I must say some things scare me here. Ok, I can take that most of you who no longer are active witnesses have nothing good to say about the society (and you have your reasons, yes I know). But what about these guys who says they still are witnesses? (Not all maybe, but those of whom I have seen)

  They lie, they are mean in general, and not the very loving and understanding type of guys they claim to be, they are the kind of people you dont want to have anything to do with. And they sure are much better in scaring away people like me, than any one who tells me that the society is a bunch of liars

  So, my question, does anyone knows who they are? Are they really witnesses? Or just people claiming to be witnesses? And if they are, what are they doing here? Are they aware of that they do nothing but gives all witnesses a bad name?

  By the way, are there any people here who just like me, tries to find out if the witnesses is something I want to be a part of? If so, feel free to email me.

  Like Scroll Lock, it was added with the expectance that it would
  eventually be used, but never really was.
  Though both Microsoft's and Borland's debuggers can be configured to
  jump immediately to the debugger upon pressing Ctrl-Alt-SysReq. Sort
  of a near-miss Vulcan nerve pinch.

  The Sys Rq Key is used on IBM Mainframes, S/3x's and AS/400 to provide a
  sort of command line where you can modify settings, etc of your terminal
  settings. I don't know much about the S/3x machines, but on AS/400's
  using 5250 emulation you can access the system operators message queue,
  your own message queue, work with your job stats, start an alternate
  session, etc. Using an IBM kyb or in your case, the compat kyb, you would
  need to press the alt or reset key (left or right key next to the space
  bar) in conjuction with the SysRq key to bring up this command line....

  i have also been informed that they are the happiest people on the entire earth.. my problem is this:.

  when a jehovah's witness comes to your door and you actually decide to give them a few moments of your time they never give the whole story as to what you would be getting involved with when you join the watchtower.. case in point.

  Did your Church predict that the World would end within the region of a few months past 1975?...
  ...I have too much irrefutable evidence to the contrary.

  Ok, do you know any official statement that actually says the world is going to end 1975? I´d like to know where you can find that sort of statement. Yes, it´s easy to see that if the world would have ended in 1975, jw would have claimed to have foretold that. But did they really say the world will en in 1975?

  and 2 years later it would have been in october 605 bce?.

  At the time that the Christian calendar was created, the number Zero did not exist (people where tortured and burned for suggesting it).
  The dates went like this: 3BC, 2BC, 1BC, 1AD, 2AD, 3AD...

  and therefor, when we now know that there is a year 0. The correct date when counting 2520 years from 607 bce, is october 1913?

  This has frustrated me for a while...

  Ok, pretend that Jerusalem was destroyed in october 607 bce.

  Ok then, 1 year later it would be in october 606 bce, right?
  And 2 years later it would have been in october 605 bce?

  And 606 years later it would be in october 1 bce?
  and after 607 years we would end up in october year 0?
  (it´s the first year, yes, but still year 0 uh?)

  Is that correct? coz the witnesses says we would be in october year 1...

  Can anyone correct me here?

  If I am not wrong, the beginning of the end should have begun in october 1913...
