DOC ... you bring up a interesting thought. Is it really better for her to go to her grave in ignorance? For her to become reality based in her thinking she would have to go through the painful process of disillusionment first. Like we all did. I am glad to be living in reality and not in bull****. But that might not be true of an 80 year old woman.

Had a Frustrating Discussion with Mom...
by tenyearsafter inmy 80 something year old mom is a die hard jw, but to her credit, she has not shunned me.
as would be expected, she is always "praying" that i return to jah and get reinstated.
is consistent...every time my wife and i see her, she always tries to steer the conversation to "how bad the world" has become.. today, she escalated the "theocratic attack" by coming out directly and asking me what i thought of world conditions.

Been thinking about this all day... Is the WBTS being hypocritical? Absolutely! IS this a big deal? Yes! Does this mean they are full of shit? In my opinion, YES! Why am I so discouraged? Because it means that WBTS is just another religion. And they are primarly interested in $$$. A business. Everything else is a front or a method of keeping the masses in their control.

if she were my daughter, and kris humphries said to her what he said to ms. kim, when she voiced her concerns (again) about not wanting to move to minnesota (which she did before getting married and he "pretended" to accept), i might tell her he's the wrong guy/man, too.
no, i don't believe in divorce "just because,"... and don't know that i would tell my daughter to divorce him (she made her bed, so to say), but.... what did he say?
