“I know everything!!!!!! I have my eye on you!” (in a kind and loving way)
I tell my children 😋 .... but actually not 100% true... shooting blanks and hope they don’t really notice. 😇
just was thinking how some powerful quotes, remarks, sayings hit the mark with me and how much it enriched/ enhamced/influences my life.
love beyond color.
reality is that which when you no longer believe in it , does not go away.. “the truth is a battle of perceptions.

with 10 being the highest, how..... 1.honest are you.
2.humble are you.
4. happy are you.
🤣🤣🤣
I’m not perfect but I try my best.
Optimism?! Not always.
Humble?! Sometimes.
Happy?! I prefer contentment.
Better to be content than searching to achieve the hype of happy moments that might never come!
Honesty?! I’ve just demonstrated that. 😋 😉
what if we could exchange one president from another country to yours?...
say trump for trudeau, trudeau for trump, trump in exchange for your respective european country, etc -- for a few years?
would you consider it a win or a loss for your country?.
I would swap Mr Boris for the New Zealand prime minister.
Jacinda Arden.
hi guys and girlies, .
since i’ve joined a fortnight ago or so, i have reading all sort of posts, some recent and some really old!
🙂 i’m really enjoying all of your stories and contributions.
Tiki-
when you put it like that!... lions and snakes seem pretty scary hehehe.
But my father was an amazing storyteller and an even better poet. Apart from those stories... there was his leather belt.
I love your memories, sometimes those that are not ours are more OURS than the ones that actually are. Thank you for sharing ☺️☺️

Hi guys and girlies,
Since I’ve joined a fortnight ago or so, I have reading all sort of posts, some recent and some really old! 🙂 I’m really enjoying all of your stories and contributions. So from me to you... thank you. 🙃
Age (just a number!!) ranges from the younger to the more experienced in life... So keeping this in mind... what’s the most important memory that makes you smile?
I’ll start it off.... for me.... best memories ever are the ones that takes me back to my 7 years old self. My dad used to tell me the best.... I mean just THE BEST goodnight stories.
He would sit between my sister’s bed and mine belting out the stories of his background in Africa, filled with lions and snakes and all the locals ideas of life.
Always understated, these I remember so well and have passed it on to my children that I hope one day will do the same too.
So...What’s your story? What’s that memory that takes you back ?
A smell, a brand, the taste of some lovely food?! ☺️
i have been working through the grey book with a married couple for several months.
actually after a while what happened was a different brother or sister got invited each week to my study.
i met lots and lots.
BibleStudent1-
you are one of the lucky ones that is escaping this religion that would make you a prisoner for ever.
Even after leaving if we have family and friends we are still prisoners of it.
Jehovah witnesses don’t just ask a little input of yourself... they ask the “whole” of you. It’s like a hungry beast that you need to keep feeding consistently.
So congrats for your decision!!🤗
When buying a house I’m sure you would do your research, when buying a car too, or even when visiting a new restaurant.... so why not a religion that is going to change your life for ever???!!
When you have a little time look at old posts ...... so many here have had experiences of the cult that will help you to understand what JWs are all about.
And Good luck. (Oops jws can’t say good luck either)
So many rules.... so little time. 🙂
why the shunning if someone leaves?
why are they working so hard to keep everyone in?
is it money?
Can you imagine if they changed the shunning rules??!!! 😱😱😱😱😱
People would definitely realised that this “tooth”... is not the “TOOTH”!!! 🦷🦷🦷🦷
So GB just keeps dragging their feet until there’s huge holes in their shoes and then in their socks... and I think that after that, they will still try to patch those up!
In terms of members I agree with the top comment... losing family friends position social club status.
when you know nothing else the world it’s a very scary place. Many prefer to stay than having to face life and start again. It’s already so ingrained in the day to day lives and in their being.
And there’s never a guarantee that they’ll make it outside either!
So yep... sad but unfortunately it’s the reality.
i’m just curious if you think your past life either adversely or positively affected your relationships?.
The answer would be yes yes yes to the main question 🙂....even though I didn’t stayed in the religion very long —phew!!!
Meeting others friends or otherwise has proved very tricky until today... and I don’t think that will ever change for me.
Maybe some will not agree with me (and that will be great!) but in my mind once you’ve dipped into that world (JWs) it just seems to follow you like a bad stench.
It’s a futile fight as so many times just lurks there...ready to lift its ugly head ready to POUNCE once the chance presents itself. Urgh!
I call it my ex-jw mind. 😖
why are for the most part brown-colored people held in detention centers?
where are the rest of illegal immigrants?i think the question is valid -- as one website noted: "the u.s. government does not maintain reliable demographics of who is in immigration detention..." (https://www.freedomforimmigrants.org/detention-statistics).
a canadian woman not too long ago said to me (spontaneously - i did not bring up the subject) the following words when she heard the live tv news broadcast, which dealt about the immigrants being held at dozens of detention centers in usa: "i am canadian, and i have been living here illegally for 29 years.
I’m not in the USA so is difficult to say, but here in the UK we have so many cultures and different people that I see day in day out.
I think it’s wonderful to be able to learn about others and expand my knowledge about different ways of different cultures.
These days people move to wherever they need to go... some can do it legally others are not so lucky (not saying this is right).
Like someone said on a previous comment, I don’t have any problems in sharing space etc, would just be nice to see that when people do move somewhere else that they contribute towards that country socially and economically.
And by your “brown” definition .... we are all brown lol.... some mocha, some velvet chocolate and some just a lighter shade of magnolia... inside we are the same human kind!
I call for giving opportunities, tolerance and love to those that need....we never know when that person is going to be us. 😊
ok... so the william sisters have in the past spoken openly about their faith by saying they are jehovah witnesses.
but do they attend regular meetings?
door to door ministry?
Thank you for your explanation.
It’s a very thin line to thread for those that are put under stresses just because it’s the household way.
In my time seemed simpler. When my sister was disfellowshipped, she stayed home even thought another sister was baptised jw. Family ties didn’t get cut off, everything was as it was at home. She was later re instated... like YEARS after.
These days seems to me that things move much faster. And that’s it, no ifs no buts. Thanks again.
